Is SATAN still running around?  What does the Bible say?

We will look at a few passages on the timing of when Satan was judged.

1.     Genesis 3:14 The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the DAYS of your life.15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.
2.     Does not Scripture teach that the serpent will have his head bruised?  

3.     Romans 16:20 The God of peace will SOON crush Satan under your feet The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
4.     *How long is SOON?  If you were a member of the church in Rome around 58AD to whom Paul was writing and Paul said that God will SOON crush Satan under your feet, how long is Soon?  Was Satan crushed in fulfillment of Genesis 3 or was Paul wrong, a liar and a false prophet?  Side note: Ain't it interesting how, the crushing of the heads of enemies a powerful imagery of God keeping His promise from Genesis 3?  Here's a few Judges 4:21, 9:53; 2 Sam 11:21, and John 19:17and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha."  Ain't it awesome of God to place His Son's cross on top of the place of the skull?

5.     John 12:31  "NOW judgment is upon THIS WORLD; NOW the ruler of THIS WORLD will be cast out.
6.     *Was Jesus wrong when He said NOW the ruler of this world will be cast out?  If the ruler of that world wasn’t cast out, was Jesus a liar, false prophet?

7.     John 16:11  and concerning judgment, because the ruler of THIS WORLD has been judged.
8.     *Was Satan judged?  Was he crushed as Romans 16:20 says?


12.    2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
13.   Matthew 28:18And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

14.   **Misled Christians use this verse to say that Satan is the god of this world still.  The "this world" or better "THIS AGE" in context was the old covenant world or age of Israel's covenant.  Christ is LORD. Even though Christ states that He is Lord, Sovereign, and all authority in heaven and ON EARTH, misled Christians still want the devil alive to blame their problems on.  The Judaizers of the Old Covenant AGE/ World were blinding people with their legalistic system!   Back up a bit and read the verse in context 2 Cor 3:13-4:6

15.   1 John 3:8  the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for THIS purpose, to DESTROY the works of the devil.
16.   *Did Jesus fail to destroy the works of the devil which was His very purpose for appearing according to this verse?

17.   Hebrews 2:14  Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might DESTROY the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
18.   *Did Jesus fail to destroy the one who has the power of death, the devil?  Most Christians believe Satan is still running loose.  LOL.  If the devil is still running around, then JESUS FAILED to destroy the devil, right?  

19.   Revelation 12:12  "For THIS reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a SHORT TIME."
20.   Revelation20:10  And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prop het are also; and they will be tormented DAY and night forever and ever.
21.   *Since these words were penned around 65 AD, how long is SHORT to whom it was written Rev 1:4?  The book of Revelation was not written to peeps in the 21stcentury.  It was written to the 7churches in Asia 1:4.  The things in the book are said to be near, will soon take place, are at hand, will happen in a short time…, so, part of the book 20:10 mentions the devil being thrown into the lake of fire; did it happen? 

22.   Matthew 13:37-43  And He said, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,38and the field is the WORLD; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; 39and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the END OF THE AGE; and the reapers are angels. 40"So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the END OF THE AGE. 41"The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, 42and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43"Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father He who has ears, let him hear.
23.   *Does not the Lord say that the tares will be gathered up and all stumbling blocks (this includes satan and demons) and thrown into the furnace AT THE END OF THE AGE?   What age was Jesus in when He said this?  The Old Testament Age.  When was the end of the OT age?  70AD

24.   Daniel 12:1-7 "At that TIME shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a TIME of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that TIME. But at that TIME your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. 2And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.4But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the TIME of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."  5Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on THIS bank of the stream and one on that bank of the stream.6And someone said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, "How long shall it be till the end of these wonders?" 7And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream; he raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by him who lives forever that it would be for a TIME, TIMEs, and half aTIME, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be finished.
25.   *Daniel asked Michael when these prophecies: the resurrection, judgment, reward would be fulfilled 12:6.  The answer is at the shattering of the power of the holy people.  The holy people were the Jews and their power was their covenant with God symbolized by The Temple.  The Temple was destroyed in 70AD. 

26.   Isaiah 27:1 In THAT DAY the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.
* Did "That Day" take place?  Yes.  

27.   THE NEW TESTAMENT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE 70A.D., THE END OF THE AGE IN WHICH SATAN AND HIS DEMONS WOULD WERE JUDGED.  UNDERSTANDING THE HISTORIC CONTEXT, AUDIENCE RELEVANCE (Who was the epistle written to? What was the intent and primary application to the original audience?) WILL HELP TO SEE THAT THE GENERATION THAT CHRIST SPOKE TO WOULD BE THE LAST GENERATION WITH THE DEVIL AROUND.  SATAN'S DEMISE CAME IN 70AD.  NOW READ THE FOLLOWING IN LIGHT OF THE BIBLICAL CONTEXT.

28.   Ephesians 4:27  and give no opportunity to the devil.
29.   Ephesians 6:11  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
30.   1 Timothy 3:6  He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil.
31.   1 Timothy 3:7  Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.
32.   2 Timothy 2:26  and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.
James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
33.   1 Peter 5:8  Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

34.   THE DEVIL WAS PRESENT UP UNTIL 70AD.  THEREFORE, THE VERSES ABOVE NO LONGER APPLY TO CHRISTIAN LIVING.  IT IS LIKE THE OLD COVENANT CEREMONIAL LAWS, SACRIFICES, SABBATH KEEPING, 3 VISITS TO JERUSALEM NO LONGER APPLY TO CHRISTIAN LIVING.

***Christians love keeping the devil/ satan alive.  I used to work with a Charismatic sister who would fight satan in prayer by binding him, loosing angels against him, casting him out and pleading the blood of Jesus against him; only to have satan come back the next week and have her do her magick prayer again. LOL.
The poor devil (that has been destroyed) gets blamed for everything.

People always want to blame someone except themselves.
James 1:14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 

Btw, God created evil.

Isaiah 45:5 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Satan/The devil is just like a al qaeda, a made-up boogie man to keep people controlled by fear.  We have nothing to fear but God Himself. ;-)
Yeshua came to destroy the devil and He DID NOT FAIL!!!  


Most Christians believe that Yeshua FAILED but this ain't what Scripture teaches.
Christians prolong the devils existence in their own minds, creeds, confessions, and traditions of men.
