Real Estate Market Crash in Jerusalem caused Christian Jews to SELL their Property

Scripture teaches that the Jews were NOT to sell their property/ inheritance but in the book of Acts we see Christian Jews selling off their homes as if they knew a crash in real estate market was coming. They did. Yeshua taught that Jerusalem would be DESTROYED in that first century generation and it was.  As followers of Christ, the Scripture describes what the saints did; sold their property and possessions because of that occasion and not as a prescription.  They were then prepared to help and share with others in need.  

Leviticus 25:23 ‘THE LAND, MOREOVER, SHALL NOT BE SOLD PERMANENTLY, for the land is Mine; for you are but aliens and sojourners with Me.

Matthew 24:1-4   Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 2 But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”4 And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray.

Matthew 24:34   Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

***Christ spoke these words around 33 AD.  Jerusalem was destroyed by The Romans in 70AD.  FULFILLED.

Acts 2:43-47 Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; 45 AND THEY BEGAN SELLING THEIR PROPERTY AND POSSESSIONS AND WERE SHARING THEM WITH ALL, AS ANYONE MIGHT HAVE NEED. 46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Acts 4:36-37 Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of Encouragement), 37 and WHO OWNED A TRACT OF LAND, SOLD IT AND BROUGHT THE MONEY AND LAID IT AT THE APOSTLES’ FEET.

This is NOT socialism.  This is OWNERS selling THEIR OWN property and possessions and giving of their own will for this specific event prophesied by Yeshua that would happen in that first century generation; the destruction of Jerusalem.
