Just some quick thoughts on Matt 21:18-22. Zionist dispensationalists who have infiltrated the Christian ranks teach that the fig tree is symbolic of Israel and that national physical Israel today is God's Chosen people. Jesus Cursed the Fig Tree and states no fruit ever will come from it again.
- GENESIS 22:2 He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
- 2 CHRONICLES 3:1 [ Solomon Builds the Temple ] Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to David his father, at the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
**The Old Covenant Jewish Economy has passed away based upon The Word of God. Zionism Dispensationalism is trying to deceive Christians that Jews today, even if they hate Christ, are still God's chosen people. Don't believe the zionism trash, believe the Bible.
The Fig Tree branches become tender and puts out its leaves
MATTHEW 24:32-34 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
MARK 13:28 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 30 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
LUKE 21:29 And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and A L L THE TREES. 30 As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. 31 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
**In Matthew and Mark, Christ mentions just the fig tree but in Luke, He mentions ALL THE TREES. Zionist Dispensationalists say from the Matthew and Mark passages is National Israel returning to the land. Hello!!! The Luke passage says ALL THE TREES! How do they interpret all the trees? crickets. If it refers to all the nations then there's problems with their doctrine!!!
**Why not used the simplest interpretation. Around 33 AD, Christ is speaking to His disciples about His return. He gives them signs, specifically the destruction of the temple as to when it will take place (Matthew 24:4-34) and says it will happen in their generation. Well, it happened. Therefore, there is no need to make up all this Jews returning to the land nonsense; Jews becoming a nation in 1948 is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy nonsense. Zionist Dispensationalism contradicts what Christ and The Apostles said about National Israel which was it being cast out. That took place in 70AD. Zionist Dispensationalism has led to the deaths of millions because of its wrong interpretation of Scripture. Millions of "Christians" have been deceived in supporting zionism because of its false doctrines.
MATTHEW 21:33-46 (NIV)
The Parable of the Tenants
33 “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. 34 When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.
35 “The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. 36 Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them the same way. 37 Last of all, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
38 “But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’ 39 So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40 “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”
41 “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they (Pharisees) replied, “and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants (believers), who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.”
42 Jesus said to them (Pharisees), “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
“‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”
45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus’ parables, they knew he was talking about them. 46 They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet.
