The Book of Revelation, Is it understandable? Let's see what the first 5 verses say

In the last couple of months I’ve dialoged with over 2 dozen different Christians who have or had the assumption that no one can understand The Book of Revelation.  What does book of Revelation say? see v3

1The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him
[What is Jesus being revealed as?]

to show to his servants
[Who are Jesus’ servants according to this book and 1st century context?]

the things that must soon take place.
[How long is soon?  Does soon mean 2000 plus years?]

He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it,
[If John is saying that a person will be blessed if they not only hear but KEEP what is written in it, does that not mean a person must UNDERSTAND what is written in the book in order to KEEP IT to be blessed???  How the heck can one KEEP what is written in the book, if they do not understand what is written in it?  Hello! John, believed his audience could understand in order to KEEP it!**** Christians, you have to study your Bible regularly so you don't say foolish incorrect statements about your Lord's HOLY WORD.  Your low view of the Bible and most likely lack of studying it, makes you say something as stupid as God has written a book that we cannot understand.]

for the time is near.
[How long is near; 2000 plus years from when the book was written in the 1st century?]

4John to the seven churches that are in Asia:
[Who is this book written to according to this verse?  Get over it 21st century egotistic Christian, THE BIBLE WAS NOT WRITTEN TO YOU but FOR you.]

Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,
5and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
