Scripture on LAZINESS and POVERTY compiled by Tuese Ahkiong

Scripture on LAZINESS and POVERTY
compiled by Tuese Ahkiong

1.     Proverbs 6:6-11  Go to the ant, O SLUGGARD,
Observe her ways and be wise,
Which, having no chief,
Officer or ruler,
Prepares her food in the summer
And gathers her provision in the harvest.
How long will you lie down, O SLUGGARD?
When will you arise from your sleep?
10 “A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest”—
11 Your POVERTYwill come in like a vagabond
And your need like an armed man.

2.     Proverbs 10:4  A slack hand causes POVERTY, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

3.    Proverbs 10:5  He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.

4.    Proverbs 10:15  The rich man’s wealth is his fortress, The ruin of the POOR is their POVERTY.

5.     Proverbs 10:26  Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the SLUGGARD to those who send him.

6.     Proverbs 12:24  The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor.

7.     Proverbs 12:27  Whoever is slothful will not roast his game, but the diligent man will get precious wealth.

8.     Proverbs 13:4  The soul of the SLUGGARD craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

9.    Proverbs 13:18  POVERTY and shame will come to him who neglects discipline, But he who regards reproof will be honored.

10.  Proverbs 14:20  The POOR is disliked even by his neighbor, but the rich has many friends.

11.  Proverbs 14:23  In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to POVERTY.

12.  Proverbs 15:19  The way of a SLUGGARD is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the upright is a level highway.

13.  Proverbs 18:9  Whoever is slack in his work is a brother to him who destroys.

14.  Proverbs 19:4  Wealth brings many new friends, but a POOR man is deserted by his friend.

15.  Proverbs 19:7  All a POOR man's brothers hate him; how much more do his friends go far from him! He pursues them with words, but does not have them.

16.  Proverbs 19:15  Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger.

17.  Proverbs 19:24  The SLUGGARD buries his hand in the dish and will not even bring it back to his mouth.

18.  Proverbs 20:4  The SLUGGARD does not plow in the autumn; he will seek at harvest and have nothing.

19.  Proverbs 20:13  Love not sleep, lest you come to POVERTY; open your eyes, and you will have plenty of bread.

20.  Proverbs 21:5  The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, But everyone who is hasty comes surely to POVERTY.

21.  Proverbs 21:17  Whoever loves pleasure will be a POOR man; he who loves wine and oil will not be rich.

22.  Proverbs 21:25  The desire of the SLUGGARD kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.

23.  Proverbs 22:7  The rich rules over the poor, and THE BORROWER IS THE SLAVE OF THE LENDER.

24.  Proverbs 22:16  He who oppresses the POOR to make more for himself Or who gives to the rich, will only come to POVERTY.

25.  Proverbs 22:13  The SLUGGARD says, “There is a lion outside! I shall be killed in the streets!”

26.  Proverbs 23:21  For the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to POVERTY, And drowsiness will clothe one with rags.

27.  Proverbs 24:30-34  I passed by the field of a SLUGGARD, by the vineyard of a man lacking sense, and behold, it was all overgrown with thorns; the ground was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down. Then I saw and considered it; I looked and received instruction. A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and POVERTY will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.

28.  Proverbs 26:13  The SLUGGARD says, “There is a lion in the road! There is a lion in the streets!”

29.  Proverbs 26:14  As a door turns on its hinges, so does a SLUGGARD on his bed.

30.  Proverbs 26:15  The SLUGGARDburies his hand in the dish; it wears him out to bring it back to his mouth.

31.  Proverbs 26:16  The SLUGGARDis wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can answer sensibly.

32.  Proverbs 28:19  He who tills his land will have plenty of food, But he who follows empty pursuits will have POVERTY in plenty.

33. Proverbs 30:7-9  “Two things I ask of you, Lord;
do not refuse me before I die:
Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
    give me neither
POVERTYnor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’
Or I may become
POOR and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC 10 COMMANDMENTS vs THE BIBLE

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC 10 COMMANDMENTS vs THE BIBLE

I remember as a kid my catholic catechism teacher teaching me the 10 Commandments at OLPH. The Catholic 10C omits the 2nd C which says "do not make idols/images&bow down to them in worship." Hmm, I wonder why they did that? Because the Pagan Roman Catholic church are IDOLATERS! They still get 10C b/c they split the10th C into 2 "don't covet your neighbors wife(9) & goods (10).. Does anyone know why this was done? To get away with their IDOLATRY BULLSHEET!
Here's the Roman Catholic 10 Commandments
1) I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me.
2) Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
3) Remember thou keep the Sabbath Day.
4) Honor thy Father and thy Mother.
5) Thou shalt not kill.
6) Thou shalt not commit adultery.
7) Thou shalt not steal.
8) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
9) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife.
10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's goods.

HERE ARE THE 10 COMMANDMENTS FROM THE BIBLE
EXODUS 20:1-17 And God spoke all these words, saying,
ONE: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
3 “You shall have no other gods before me.
TWO: 4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
THREE: 7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
FOUR: 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
FIVE: 12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
SIX: 13 “You shall not murder.
SEVEN: 14 “You shall not commit adultery.
EIGHT: 15 “You shall not steal.
NINE: 16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
TEN: 17 “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.”

You can find The Commandments again in
Deuteronomy 5
The Ten Commandments
And Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the rules that I speak in your hearing today, and you shall learn them and be careful to do them. 2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. 3 Not with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today. 4 The Lord spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the midst of the fire, 5 while I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord. For you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain. He said:
ONE 6 “‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
7 “‘You shall have no other gods before me.
TWO 8 “‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 9 You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
THREE 11 “‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
FOUR 12 “‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. 13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. 15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
FIVE 16 “‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
SIX 17 “‘You shall not murder.
SEVEN 18 “‘And you shall not commit adultery.
EIGHT 19 “‘And you shall not steal.
NINE 20 “‘And you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
TEN 21 “‘And you shall not covet your neighbor's wife. And you shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.’
