ADOPTED, CHILDREN OF GOD, NEW CREATION by Tuese Ahkiong

ADOPTED, CHILDREN OF GOD, NEW CREATION
by Tuese Ahkiong

All the books of The New Testamentwere written between 45-68 A.D.  Between30-70 A.D. is when the Old and New Covenants overlapped.  In 70A.D., Christ returned executed judgmentupon apostate Israel, The Great Harlot, for her prostitution, persecution andmurder of God’s saints.  The True Israelof God/ Children of God are not ethnic Israel or Old Covenant Apostate Israelbut those who place their faith in Christ. These are those who are adopted and revealed as the true children andsons of God.

When interpreting Scripture,one must remember the basics of hermeneutics: context, context, context.
Learn W.H.O. interprets

W ords in their contextaccording the genre (poetry, wisdom, narrative, historical, prophetic,apocalyptic…).

H istorical context- Audiencerelevance.  What are the 5Ws as to:
W ho was it written to (knowwho is speaking and who is being addressed; identify the antecedent of “you”and you’ll save yourself a lot of heartache),
W hat was written,
W here was it written,
W hen was it written,
W hy was it written,

O ther Scripture.  Interpret Scripture using Scripture tointerpret Itself.  The analogy of Faith.

JOHN 14
18 “I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU AS ORPHANS; I WILL COME TO YOU.
19 YET A LITTLE WHILE AND THE WORLD WILL SEE ME NO MORE, BUT YOU WILLSEE ME. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that Iam in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has mycommandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will beloved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” 22 Judas(not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself tous, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will lovehim, and we will come to him and make our home with him.24 Whoeverdoes not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not minebut the Father's who sent me.

**Did Yeshuafail to fulfill His promise in not leaving His disciples as orphans?
Did He come to them?
How long is a little while the world will no longer see Yeshua and thebelievers would be able to see Him?

ROMANS 8
12 So, then, brethren, we aredebtors, not to the flesh, tolive according to the flesh;
13 for if according to the flesh ye do live, ye areabout to die; and if, by the Spirit, the deeds ofthe body ye put to death, ye shall live;
14 for as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
THESE ARE THE SONS OF GOD;
15 for ye did not receive aspirit of bondage again for fear, but YEDID RECEIVE A SPIRIT OF ADOPTION IN WHICH WE CRY, `ABBA -- FATHER.'
16 THE SPIRIT HIMSELF DOTH TESTIFY WITH OUR SPIRIT,THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD;
17 AND IF CHILDREN, ALSO HEIRS, HEIRS, INDEED, OF GOD,AND HEIRS TOGETHER OF CHRIST -- IF, INDEED, WE SUFFER TOGETHER, THAT WE MAYALSO BE GLORIFIED TOGETHER.
18 For I reckon that THE SUFFERINGS OF THE PRESENT TIME[are] not worthy [to be compared] with THEGLORY ABOUT TO BE REVEALED IN US;
19 for the earnest lookingout of THE CREATION DOTH EXPECT THEREVELATION OF THE SONS OF GOD;
20 for to vanity was thecreation made subject -- not of its will, but because of Him who did subject[it] -- in hope,
21 that also the creation itself shall be set freefrom the servitude of the corruption to THE LIBERTY OF THE GLORY OF THECHILDREN OF GOD;
22 for we have known that all the creation doth groan together,and doth travail in pain together TILL NOW.
23 And not only [so], butalso we ourselves, having thefirst-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, ADOPTIONEXPECTING -- THE REDEMPTION OF OUR BODY;
24 for in hope we were saved,and hope beheld is not hope; for what any one doth behold, why also doth hehope for [it]?
25 and if what we do notbehold we hope for, through continuance we expect [it]

****Who received the spiritof adoption as sons?  Those led by theSpirit of God.
Who are the children of God/the sons of God?  Believers in Christ areled by the Spirit.
What was the presentsuffering in the first century? Persecution from the apostate Jews who claimed that they were the sonsof God/ God’s children.
What glory was about to berevealed?  Christ’s bride, Christ in youthe hope of glory, God dwelling with and in His people.
What is the creation? Is itthe physical universe?  Nope.
Is it the New Covenant Worldand People?  Yep.
What servitude of corruptionwas the creation being set free from?
Was it pollution, immorality, war? Nope
Was it The Old Covenant Worldand rulers of that world with their ministry of death through the law? Yep.
What was the liberty of theglory of the children of God?  “Christ inyou, the hope of glory” consummated in 70A.D.
How is it that all ofcreation groaned together and travailed in pain together? The groans, travailsand pains experienced by the Christians, the creation was the persecution fromthe apostate Jews.
When was “TILL NOW?”  Paul wrote the bookof Romans in 57A.D.
What adoption were the saintsexpecting- “the redemption of our body?” The saints were expecting being adopted into the body of Christ to becomethe new children of God.  “Body”(singular) is likened to the body of knowledge or student body.  The saints were coming out of the body ofMoses, the flesh and into the body of Christ, the Spirit.

ROMANS 9
I am speaking the truth inChrist—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— 2that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wishthat I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of mybrothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh. 4 They are Israelites, and
TO THEM BELONG THE ADOPTION,
the glory, the covenants, thegiving of the law, the worship, and the promises. 5 To them belong thepatriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who isGod over all, blessed forever. Amen.

6 But it is not as though theword of God has failed.
FOR NOT ALL WHO ARE DESCENDED FROM ISRAEL BELONG TOISRAEL, 7 AND NOT ALL ARE CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM BECAUSE THEY ARE HIS OFFSPRING,BUT “THROUGH ISAAC SHALL YOUR OFFSPRING BE NAMED.” 8 This means that it is not the children of the fleshwho are the children of God, but the CHILDRENOF THE PROMISE ARE COUNTED AS OFFSPRING.

**The True Israel of God arethe children of promise.  Those who cometo God through faith in Christ are those who receive adoption.

GALATIANS 4
I mean that the heir, as longas he is a child, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner ofeverything, 2 but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father. 3 In the same way wealso, WHEN WE WERE CHILDREN, WEREENSLAVED TO THE ELEMENTARY PRINCIPLES OF THE WORLD. 4 But WHEN THE FULLNESS OF TIME HAD COME,God sent forth his Son, born of woman, BORNUNDER THE LAW, 5 to redeem those who were UNDER THE LAW, so that
WE MIGHT RECEIVE ADOPTION AS SONS.
And BECAUSE YOU ARE SONS, God has sent the Spirit of his Son intoour hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heirthrough God.

***Who was enslaved to theelementary principles of the world?  Paulis referring to Jews under the law.
What are the elementaryprinciples of the world?  The Law underthe old covenant world.
Why was Christ born under thelaw?  To redeem those who were under thelaw, so that they will receive adoption as sons.

EPHESIANS 1
3 Blessed be the God andFather of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with everyspiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as HE CHOSE US IN HIM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, THAT WESHOULD BE HOLY AND BLAMELESS BEFORE HIM.
IN LOVE 5 HE PREDESTINED US FOR ADOPTION AS SONS through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of hiswill, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us inthe Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness ofour trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished uponus, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will,according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for thefullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things onearth.

***Is predestinationloving?  Yes, in love He predestined us(those chosen by God before the foundation of the world) for adoption as sons…
