If Christ died a substitutionary death for His people (those who would believe upon him by grace), than why do Christians still die?

Dedicated to Taffy Boyo an annoying prideful know it all! He says everywhere in Scripture "death" is always referring to physical death.

2 Timothy 1:10 and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, WHO ABOLISHED DEATH and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
***If Paul says that Christ abolished death, then why do people still physically die?
What death did Christ abolish? Spiritual/Covenantal death.

John 3:15-16 that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
***Since Christians believe in Christ, why then do they perish and die physically? Is Christ actually talking about a spiritual reality??

John 3:36 WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
***What is eternal life since people are still dying physically? Could eternal life be a spiritual reality? Yep!

John 6:50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and NOT DIE.
***Have you believe that Christ is the bread of life? Have you partaken of Him? Then why do you still physically die?

John 8:51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, HE WILL NEVER SEE DEATH.”
****Do you keep Christ's Word, then why do you see physical death? Could Christ be speaking of spiritual death?

John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and THEY WILL NEVER PERISH, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
***Uh, I still see people perishing physically, Mr. Taffy?

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and EVERYONE WHO LIVES AND BELIEVES IN ME SHALL NEVER DIE. Do you believe this?”
**In v25 is Yeshua not stating that if someone dies physically that they shall live spiritually. And in v26 if someone believes in Yeshua, he/she will never die. Is the death physical? NO, because people still die physically. If one believes upon Christ, they will never die spiritually.
If death is only physical, then how is it that Yeshua can say that if someone believes in Him, they will never die????

Rom 7:7-9 What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. For apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died.

****Did Paul die physically when he mentioned that he died??? LOL

Rom 8:1-4There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

***If there is no longer any condemnation for those in Christ, if those in Christ are set free in Yeshua from the law of sin and death, then why do Christians physically die?

Revelation 2:11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.’
***According to this verse, is the second death another physical death after the first physical death?

What happened at the cross?

Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?
***On the cross, Christ cried out these words of being forsaken of God; being cut off, alienated, rejected, cursed of God; being spiritually separated.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

ANSWER: THE DEATH IN THE GARDEN WAS NOT PHYSICAL DEATH BUT SPIRITUAL DEATH, SEPARATION FROM GOD.
Therefore, The Resurrection is spiritual and NOT physical. ;-)
More on this in another article.

Keep your pompous dogma off my wall, Taffy !!!!!!!!!!!!!
