Happily Never After?

Forever in search we be

of that happily ever after

That place abounding 

In love, joy, peace and laughter

That spot we find the treasure

And pleasure 

of our soul

Where we know 

We will not be in want

But getting stupid fricken drunk in love

Not only in sexy romantic amor 

But where all our needs and desires 

want 
no more

Just being completely content 

and satisfied 

Cup running over

Heart occupied 

With La la land

Feeling like a sweet MJ high 

Getting heaven sent

Floating in the sky 

Groovin' on some kind of psychedelic euphoric bliss

Where the most incredible kiss 

Has landed

On your wish. 

But how many of us ever leave this life

Having tasted that joy

Of the fairytale poison?

Not this boy!

Or just feeling happy-less?

In the sky, enjoying all her or his lies...
They sure suck when your bubble pops
and your body drops and does a plop
On the ground, falling face down
and you know you've been clowned.
It's great to have friends
Who are where you have not been
Who have tasted the sin
Who give u stuff to write about
Lessons to learn and not doubt
To not follow in his or her trails and routes.
Less u be like their sorry soul
And give them writing material.

A SUNSET

Somewhere beyond that ocean blue,
As you watch the entrance
of a colorful twilight,
You witness the sun
softly embracing the sea,
Kissing her goodnight.
You’re reminded that
Far away
The gal whose lips
That would make yours stay
Forever
on hers
Is an ocean away.
So, you pray,
A wish beneath a tropic star
That she could be where you are
To hold her close
And just ummm!
Before that last breath
of romance
escapes your lips,
You sigh
a wishy dream
of that gal
Who painted upon your heart
A truly paradise place,
wherever she is
Under her loving rays,
to someday,
melt together
a sunset.

That’s always on my lips
Moving my hips

Lifting me up

Floating on air

As my feet hover

Above the sidewalk

Doing a moonwalk

She really grooves me

And moves me

To boogie
Free

In this love

Dancing

To every beat

Of her soul

Just joyfully

In her bliss

And eventually

Inspire me to live more.

SHE'S JUST LIKE A DREAM

Inspired by The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven”

She’s just like heaven

Her presence divine

I’m trembling in awe

And my heart, I find

Beating and breathing her name

Often, upon my lips

I scream, She’s just like a dream

So unreal, Before me

Revealed, An angel

Within my arms

And she’s asking me

To cover her in all my charms

Is this the gal I’ve always wished for?

Am I dreaming?

If so, Lord, asleep forever let me be

in her sweet love, dancing with me

enjoying her smile, her laugh,

Her arms around my neck,

Her kisses on my heart

That make me shine

A warm glow, that lets me know 
And definitely shows that

She’s in love with me

Run away with me? she said

I’m in love with you!

I promise you, she said

All my kisses

And all my tomorrows!

But this man is risking the edge

Or a life of sorrow.

For not taking her hand along the sand

But leaving it for another man?

With hesitating thoughts running through my head

My distant answer, she easily read

And so my questions fly  

Why so slow to go?

WHAT does this really show?

Am I really seeing with open eyes?

I hope my vision ain’t playin’ a trick

That morning light will wake me sick

To a dizzy day twist and spin

And remind me

That I have been asleep dreaming, again

So, before me the raging sea of blues

Without you

Just your memory, drowned

Deep down, inside of me

Not a day passes do my thoughts

Not hold her

I’m gripped in this strange way she still touches me

The sea of love has stolen her far away

And how I long for those sweet yesterdays

But lonely and lost be i

At times, I just, have to, sigh?

Never again to gaze upon the soft beauty of her face

Only memories leave the trace

Of heaven

She’s just like a dream....
