KINGS OF JUDAH

















 

1.       1 Kings 12:23

“Say to Rehoboam son of Solomon KING OF JUDAH, to all Judah and Benjamin, and to the rest of the people,

 

2.       1 Kings 12:27

If these people go up to offer sacrifices at the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, they will again give their allegiance to their lord, Rehoboam KING OF JUDAH. They will kill me and return to King Rehoboam.”

 

3.       1 Kings 14:21  Rehoboam KING OF JUDAH

Rehoboam son of Solomon was king in Judah. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel in which to put his Name. His mother’s name was Naamah; she was an Ammonite.

 

4.       1 Kings 15:1  Abijah KING OF JUDAH

In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah became KING OF JUDAH,

 

5.       1 Kings 15:9  Asa KING OF JUDAH

In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa became KING OF JUDAH,

 

6.       1 Kings 15:17

Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and fortified Ramah to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the territory of Asa KING OF JUDAH.

 

7.       1 Kings 15:25  Nadab King of Israel

Nadab son of Jeroboam became king of Israel in the second year of Asa KING OF JUDAH, and he reigned over Israel two years.

 

8.       1 Kings 15:28

Baasha killed Nadab in the third year of Asa KING OF JUDAH and succeeded him as king.

 

9.       1 Kings 15:33  Baasha King of Israel

In the third year of Asa KING OF JUDAH, Baasha son of Ahijah became king of all Israel in Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years.

 

10.     1 Kings 16:8  Elah King of Israel

In the twenty-sixth year of Asa KING OF JUDAH, Elah son of Baasha became king of Israel, and he reigned in Tirzah two years.

 

11.     1 Kings 16:10

Zimri came in, struck him down and killed him in the twenty-seventh year of Asa KING OF JUDAH. Then he succeeded him as king.

 

12.     1 Kings 16:15  Zimri King of Israel

In the twenty-seventh year of Asa KING OF JUDAH, Zimri reigned in Tirzah seven days. The army was encamped near Gibbethon, a Philistine town.

 

13.     1 Kings 16:23

In the thirty-first year of Asa KING OF JUDAH, Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned twelve years, six of them in Tirzah.

 

14.     1 Kings 16:29  Ahab Becomes King of Israel

In the thirty-eighth year of Asa KING OF JUDAH, Ahab son of Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria over Israel twenty-two years.

 

15.     1 Kings 22:2

But in the third year Jehoshaphat KING OF JUDAH went down to see the king of Israel.

Dressed in their royal robes, the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat KING OF JUDAH were sitting on their thrones at the threshing floor by the entrance of the gate of Samaria, with all the prophets prophesying before them.

Ahaziah son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat KING OF JUDAH, and he reigned over Israel two years.

So he died, according to the word of the Lord that Elijah had spoken. Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat KING OF JUDAH.

In the fifth year of Joram son of Ahab king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was KING OF JUDAH, Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat began his reign as KING OF JUDAH.

 

26.     2 Kings 8:25  Ahaziah KING OF JUDAH

In the twelfth year of Joram son of Ahab king of Israel, Ahaziah son of Jehoram KING OF JUDAH began to reign.

 

27.     2 Kings 8:29

so King Joram returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds the Arameans had inflicted on him at Ramoth in his battle with Hazael king of Aram. Then Ahaziah son of Jehoram KING OF JUDAH went down to Jezreel to see Joram son of Ahab, because he had been wounded.

 

28.     2 Kings 9:16

Then he got into his chariot and rode to Jezreel, because Joram was resting there and Ahaziah KING OF JUDAH had gone down to see him.

“Hitch up my chariot,” Joram ordered. And when it was hitched up, Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah KING OF JUDAH rode out, each in his own chariot, to meet Jehu. They met him at the plot of ground that had belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite.

37.     2 Kings 14:1  Amaziah KING OF JUDAH

In the second year of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel, Amaziah son of Joash KING OF JUDAH began to reign.

 

38.     2 Kings 14:9

But Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah KING OF JUDAH: “A thistle in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar in Lebanon, ‘Give your daughter to my son in marriage.’ Then a wild beast in Lebanon came along and trampled the thistle underfoot.

Amaziah, however, would not listen, so Jehoash king of Israel attacked. He and Amaziah KING OF JUDAH faced each other at Beth Shemesh in Judah.

Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah KING OF JUDAH, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, at Beth Shemesh. Then Jehoash went to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate—a section about four hundred cubits long.

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah KING OF JUDAH began to reign.

 

45.     2 Kings 15:8  Zechariah King of Israel

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah KING OF JUDAH, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned six months.

 

46.     2 Kings 15:13  Shallum King of Israel

Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah KING OF JUDAH, and he reigned in Samaria one month.

 

47.     2 Kings 15:17  Menahem King of Israel

In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah KING OF JUDAH, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria ten years.

 

48.     2 Kings 15:23  Pekahiah King of Israel

In the fiftieth year of Azariah KING OF JUDAH, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned two years.

 

49.     2 Kings 15:27  Pekah King of Israel

In the fifty-second year of Azariah KING OF JUDAH, Pekah son of Remaliah became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned twenty years.

 

50.     2 Kings 15:32  Jotham KING OF JUDAH

In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah KING OF JUDAH began to reign.

 

51.     2 Kings 16:1  Ahaz KING OF JUDAH

In the seventeenth year of Pekah son of Remaliah, Ahaz son of Jotham KING OF JUDAH began to reign.

 

52.     2 Kings 17:1  Hoshea Last King of Israel

In the twelfth year of Ahaz KING OF JUDAH, Hoshea son of Elah became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned nine years.

 

53.     2 Kings 18:1  Hezekiah KING OF JUDAH

In the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, Hezekiah son of Ahaz KING OF JUDAH began to reign.

 

54.     2 Kings 18:14

So Hezekiah KING OF JUDAH sent this message to the king of Assyria at Lachish: “I have done wrong. Withdraw from me, and I will pay whatever you demand of me.” The king of Assyria exacted from Hezekiah KING OF JUDAH three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

 

55.     2 Kings 18:16

At this time Hezekiah KING OF JUDAH stripped off the gold with which he had covered the doors and doorposts of the temple of the Lord, and gave it to the king of Assyria.

“Say to Hezekiah KING OF JUDAH: Do not let the god you depend on deceive you when he says, ‘Jerusalem will not be given into the hands of the king of Assyria.’

Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother’s name was Hephzibah.

“Manasseh KING OF JUDAH has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols.

Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah.

 

60.     2 Kings 22:16

‘This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people, according to everything written in the book the KING OF JUDAH has read.

 

61.     2 Kings 22:18

Tell the KING OF JUDAH, who sent you to inquire of the Lord, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:

 

62.     2 Kings 23:31  Jehoahaz KING OF JUDAH

Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.

 

63.     2 Kings 23:36  Jehoiakim KING OF JUDAH

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother’s name was Zebidah daughter of Pedaiah; she was from Rumah.

 

64.     2 Kings 24:8  Jehoiachin KING OF JUDAH

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan; she was from Jerusalem.

 

65.     2 Kings 24:12

Jehoiachin KING OF JUDAH, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

 

95.     2 Chronicles 30:24

Hezekiah KING OF JUDAH provided a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep and goats for the assembly, and the officials provided them with a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep and goats. A great number of priests consecrated themselves.

 

96.     2 Chronicles 32:8

With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the KING OF JUDAH said.

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months and ten days. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.

 

107.   2 Chronicles 36:11  Zedekiah KING OF JUDAH

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years.

Therefore this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim son of Josiah KING OF JUDAH: “They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!’ They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my master! Alas, his splendor!’
