EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM, EVERY EYE HAS SEEN HIM

The phrase "Every eye will see Him" comes out of the following passage, specifically verse 7. Let's see the context in which it is said:
Revelation
1:1-10 (ESV)
1 The
revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants THE THINGS THAT MUST SOON TAKE PLACE. He
made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who bore
witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all
that he saw. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this
prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, FOR THE TIME IS NEAR.
4 John
TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES THAT ARE IN
ASIA:
Grace
to you and peace from him who is and who was and WHO IS TO COME, and from the seven spirits who are before
his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the
firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
To
him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood 6 and
made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion
forever and ever. Amen. 7 BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM, EVEN THOSE WHO PIERCED HIM, and
all tribes of the earth (Ge which means land) will wail on account of him. Even
so. Amen.
8 “I
am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and WHO IS TO COME, the Almighty.”
9 I,
John, your brother and partner IN THE
TRIBULATION and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in
Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the
testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on THE LORD'S DAY, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a
trumpet
Verse 1 Tells the 1st
century Christians that “the things must soon take place” TO THEM, his servants.
Verse 3 Tells the 1st
century Christians that “the time is near” for “the things must soon take
place” TO THEM TO HAPPEN.
Verse 4 Tells who the book
of Revelation was written TO and it’s not you in 21st century but
the 7 churches that were in Asia in the 1st century. The Bible was NOT written TO you or FOR
you. It was written to certain people
and churches like Timothy, Titus, the church in Rome, Galatia, Corinth….
Verse 7 Throughout Scripture “The Coming of The Lord”
of “The Lord Coming on the Clouds” is an apocalyptic description of YHWH coming
in Judgment. see my article "Coming on the Clouds." Apocalyptic language is
highly figurative symbolic exaggerated language and is NOT to be taken LITERALLY
but Biblically and according to the literature or genre. Christ even promises to return in that first
century generation. In fact, at the end
of Revelation, Christ says several times that He is COMING SOON. And remember, Revelation was written TO the 7
churches in Asia.
**Those who pierced Christ would see The Lord
coming with the clouds just like Christ states in Matt. 26:64 Those who
pierced Christ were the apostate Jews. Acts 2:23, 36, 4:10.
Matthew 26:63-66 (ESV); Mark 14:61-63;
63 But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to
him, “I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the
Christ, the Son of God.” 64 Jesus said to him, “You have
said so. But I tell you, from now on YOU WILL SEE THE SON OF
MAN SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER AND COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF
HEAVEN.” 65 Then the high priest tore his robes and
said, “He has uttered blasphemy. What further witnesses do we need? You
have now heard his blasphemy. 66 What is your judgment?”They
answered, “He deserves death.”
**Christ tells the high priest that he would see the Son of Man seated at
the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven. Only God
comes on the clouds of heaven. Christ was basically saying that He is
God. This is why the high priest and Sanhedrin wanted to kill him.
They would SEE (or understand, comprehend, perceive) that The Son of Man
was seated at the right hand of Power and Coming on the clouds of heaven in the
DESTRUCTION of Jerusalem. see Rev. 1:7 The high priest seeing this,
sticks Christ's return in the 1st century "this generation."
*ARE THOSE WHO PIERCED JESUS STILL ALIVE? DOES THIS TELL YOU SOMETHING
ABOUT THE TIMING OF JESUS COMING IN THE CLOUDS?
Acts 2:23 this Jesus, delivered up
according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, YOU CRUCIFIED AND KILLED by the hands of lawless men.
Acts 2:36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain
that God has made him both Lord and Christ, THIS JESUS WHOM YOU CRUCIFIED.”
Acts 4:10 let it be known to all of you
and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, WHOM YOU CRUCIFIED, whom God
raised from the dead—by him this man is standing before you well.
The New Testament is about THE LAST DAYS of Old Covenant Israel and the
bringing in of the AGE TO COME. The
destruction of Jerusalem or the Old Covenant or the Old Heaven and Earth meant
YHWH brought in a NEW JERUSALEM, New Covenant, New Heaven and earth. The Judgment upon Jerusalem symbolized YHWH’s
covenant with Israel, The Law, The Priesthood, The Sacrificial system, was FINISHED.
EVERY eye of the 1st century Jews saw YESHUA COMING ON THE
CLOUDS to judge Jerusalem by Christ using His servants, The Roman Armies to destroy Jerusalem. Even Yeshua
said the Jews would be judged in that 1st century generation:
Matthew
23:29-36 “Woe to YOU,
scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For YOU
build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous, 30 saying, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers,
we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31 Thus YOU
witness against yourselves that YOU
are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers. 33 YOU serpents, YOU brood of vipers, how are YOU to escape being sentenced to
HELL? 34 Therefore I send YOU
prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom YOU will kill and crucify, and some YOU will flog in your synagogues and persecute from town to
town, 35 so that on YOU
may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous
Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom YOU murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. 36 Truly, I say to YOU,
ALL THESE THINGS WILL COME UPON THIS
GENERATION.
**The Kingdom of God is perceived spiritually and does not come with observation (Luke 17:20). It came in power and great glory before the last of Christ’s disciples died and at the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple.
Matthew 16:27-28 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM.”
***Yeshua said that some of His disciples would still be alive to SEE the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom. Either it happen of Yeshua is a liar! No worries, Christ is not a liar like most futurists Christians make Him. He returned and some of them saw Him coming in His Kingdom. see John 21:20-23.
***“COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN” is an apocalyptic description of God’s judgment, presence, glory. The judgment upon Jerusalem was CHRIST APPEARING A SECOND TIME. See Heb 9:28 Those in Christ experience His presence NOW! see my other article "Cloud Comings in the Bible."
Matthew 24:30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN with power and great glory.
**The above event, along with everything from v4-33 were to happen in that 1st century "this generation" that Christ spoke of in Matt 24:34 "Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place."
Matthew 26:64 Jesus said to him (the high priest), “You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will SEE THE SON OF MAN seated at the right hand of Power and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”
Mark 9:1 And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD after it has come with power.”
Mark 13:26 And then they will SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory.
Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, “I am, and you will SEE THE SON OF MAN seated at the right hand of Power, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”
Luke 9:27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”
Luke 21:27 And then they will SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.
***The saints and the aints (apostate jews) saw The Son of Man Coming in the clouds of heaven with great glory and power to judge apostate Israel. The sign that Christ was in heaven, vindicated as The Messiah, God, was Jerusalem destroyed.
Revelation 1:7Behold, he is COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM, EVEN THOSE WHO PIERCED HIM, and ALL THE TRIBES OF THE EARTH WILL WAIL ON ACCOUNT OF HIM. Even so. Amen.
***Christ is coming with the clouds.***Every eye will SEE Him, even those who pierced Him. Who pierced Yeshua? The apostate Jews crucified Christ. Acts 2:23, 36, 4:10.
***Do you noticed how this event is tied in with Matt 24:30 where all the tribes of the earth (or land) wail or mourn? Well, this Matt 24:30 happened in that 1st century "this generation" as Yeshua said. Therefore, this Revelation passage, being the same subject happened. Plus, the things within the book of Revelation are said to be near, coming soon, at hand, shortly come to pass... see my article on "The Time statements within the book of Revelation."
