A WHOLE LOTTA SHAKING quaking on earth GOING ON!!!

***Noticed how the shaking of heaven and earth is the fall of nations, kingdoms, chariots, riders or armies by judgment!  It is not the physical earth or the heavens rocking but apocalyptic language of God describing a kingdom being judged.  In the Hebrews 12 passage, the context is superiority of the New Covenant over the Old.  In fact, the entire book is the superiority of Christ, The Gospel, The New Covenant over the Old.  The old heavens and earth of The Old Covenant was being shaken and removed; and the New Covenant which is everlasting and CANNOT BE SHAKEN was being brought into full effect by 70AD, the destruction of the symbol of the OT, Jerusalem and the Temple.

2 Samuel 22:8

“Then THE EARTH SHOOK AND QUAKED, The foundations of heaven were trembling And were shaken, because He was angry.

WHO SHAKES THE EARTH OUT OF ITS PLACE, And its pillars tremble;

Relativism - Is SELF the standard of Truth? Truth is in the eye of the beholder. Your truth is your truth and my truth is my truth. 2+2 can =13 for you and it can equal 7 for her or it.

Postmordernism - What standard, what Truth? THERE IS NO TRUTH and that's the Truth. lol. God is dead/ Truth is dead.

Correspondence to reality? What is reality? What is necessary or needs to be in place to know Truth? What are the presuppositions or epistemological requirements to know anything? How do we know what we know?  

How do you know you're not in THE MATRIX or whose MATRIX are you in?

Leviticus 20:10  ‘If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, THE ADULTERER AND THE ADULTERESS SHALL SURELY BE PUT TO DEATH.

Leviticus 21:9’ Also the daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by HARLOTRY, she profanes her father; she shall be BURNED WITH FIRE.

   *The scandal was Judah was the one who got Tamar pregnant as she disguised herself from him as a prostitute. Not that all prostitutes disguise themselves but just go read the juicy context!  Good freaky scandalous story and it’s in the Bible!

Did you noticed that the O.T. JUDGMENT FOR ADULTERY IS DEATH by BURNING?

Is this not what John records would happen to the harlot city Jerusalem?  

Josephus gives an account of talent stones catapulted against Jerusalem.  History records that the Temple was set on fire by the Romans.

"Hail" is frequently mentioned as a judgment of God and is added here to heighten the general effect of the description 

Israel was the bride of YHWH who committed adultery with pagan gods.  Scripture describes idolatry as adultery in the sense that Israel would worship other gods or commit adultery on The One and Only True God, YHWH.  Israel was unfaithful to YHWH.

Revelation 16:21  And GREAT HAILSTONES, ABOUT ONE HUNDRED POUNDS EACH, FELL FROM HEAVEN ON PEOPLE; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

Revelation 17:15-16 And he said to me, “The waters which you saw where the HARLOT sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.  16 And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the PROSTITUTE. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and BURN HER UP WITH FIRE,

Since YHWH Judged Jerusalem in such a way,

what did Jerusalem represent?

BABYLON THE GREAT, MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES was UNBELIEVING 1st Century Israel who spilled the blood of the saints and murdered the sinless, Prince of Peace, and Holy Son of God. The Bible calls Israel a harlot, adulterer, prostitute about 100 times!

Genesis 16:15-16 

¹⁵ And Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael. ¹⁶ Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.

**Ishmael was Abram’s first biological son.

Genesis 22:2

He said, “Take YOUR SON, YOUR ONLY SON ISAAC, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

Genesis 22:12

He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, YOUR ONLY SON, from me.”

Genesis 22:16

and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, YOUR ONLY SON,

**Isaac is Abraham’s second biological son that is alive with his half brother Ishmael.  Why does the bible call Isaac, Abraham’s only son?  Isaac was the son of Covenant Promise?  So, Scripture teaches that there is a difference between covenant sons and biological sons.

Hebrews 11:17

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up HIS ONLY SON,

Genesis 21:10  Therefore she said to Abraham, “^(A)Drive out this maid and her son, for THE SON OF THIS MAID SHALL NOT BE AN HEIR WITH MY SON ISAAC.”

“Cast out the bondwoman and her son,
FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE AN HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREE WOMAN.”

³¹ So then, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman.

We see that YHWH makes a distinction between those who are FREE by being in Covenant with Him and those who are in bondage.

Deuteronomy 18:15-22   “THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM AMONG YOU, FROM YOUR BROTHERS—IT IS TO HIM YOU SHALL LISTEN— ¹⁶ just as you desired of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die.’¹⁷ And the Lord said to me, ‘They are right in what they have spoken. ¹⁸ I WILL RAISE UP FOR THEM A PROPHET LIKE YOU FROM AMONG THEIR BROTHERS. AND I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH, AND HE SHALL SPEAK TO THEM ALL THAT I COMMAND HIM. ¹⁹ AND WHOEVER WILL NOT LISTEN TO MY WORDS THAT HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME, I MYSELF WILL REQUIRE IT OF HIM. ²⁰ But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ ²¹ And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— ²² when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. Acts 3:22-24   Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. ²³ And it shall be that EVERY SOUL WHO DOES NOT LISTEN TO THAT PROPHET SHALL BE DESTROYED FROM THE PEOPLE.’²⁴ And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also PROCLAIMED THESE DAYS.

Acts 7:37  This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM YOUR BROTHERS.’

Who are “the people” in this context?  The Jews

Which “these days?”  The days in the 1^ST century as Luke penned.  Since “that prophet” being spoken of was Christ and the apostate Jews didn’t listen to Him, when were they destroyed.  Christ said when Jerusalem would be surrounded by armies run to the hills because if one doesn’t, one would be destroyed and they were in 70AD.   

Luke 24:44  Now He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that ALL THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN ABOUT ME IN THE LAW OF MOSES AND THE PROPHETS AND THE PSALMS MUST BE FULFILLED.”

John 1:45  Philip *found Nathanael and *said to him, “WE HAVE FOUND HIM OF WHOM MOSES IN THE LAW AND ALSO THE PROPHETS WROTE—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

The New Testament confirms Yeshua to be The Prophet

Luke 21:20-24  “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that ITS DESOLATION has come near. ²¹ Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, ²² FOR THESE ARE DAYS OF VENGEANCE, TO FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN. ²³ Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and WRATH AGAINST THIS PEOPLE. ²⁴ THEY WILL FALL BY THE EDGE OF THE SWORD AND BE LED CAPTIVE AMONG ALL NATIONS, AND JERUSALEM WILL BE TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT BY THE GENTILES, UNTIL THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES ARE FULFILLED.

The apostate Jews not only did not listen to Christ but killed Him and His Disciples.  Yeshua said that those days would fulfill all that is written including The Judgment for not listening to Him.  

Luke 10:16  “THE ONE WHO LISTENS TO YOU LISTENS TO ME, AND THE ONE WHO REJECTS YOU REJECTS ME; and HE WHO REJECTS ME REJECTS THE ONE WHO SENT ME.”

1 John 4:6  We are from God. 

WHOEVER KNOWS GOD LISTENS TO US; WHOEVER IS NOT FROM GOD DOES NOT LISTEN TO US. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Luke 15:1 Now ALL THE TAX COLLECTORS AND THE SINNERS WERE COMING NEAR HIM TO LISTEN TO HIM.

Matthew 10:14  AND IF ANYONE WILL NOT RECEIVE YOU OR LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.

 

Mark 6:11  AND IF ANY PLACE WILL NOT RECEIVE YOU AND THEY WILL NOT LISTEN TO YOU, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.”

 

John 10:16  And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, AND THEY WILL LISTEN TO MY VOICE. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.

Luke 16:14  Now the PHARISEES, who were lovers of money, WERE LISTENING to all these things and were SCOFFING AT HIM.

Luke 21:38  And ALL THE PEOPLE would get up early in the morning to COME TO HIM IN THE TEMPLE TO LISTEN TO HIM.

  Those who listen to Christ and His Words delivered by His Apostles and Disciples in the last generation before the Judgment were spared and those who did NOT LISTEN were DESTROYED!
