DEATH, LIFE, EVIL, DESTRUCTION, HEALTH, PROSPERITY, BLESSINGS, AFFLICTIONS, GOOD, ILL FROM GOD

Job 1:20-22 20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.” 22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

***After Job loses his business, cattle, servants, children, he states that The LORD gave them to him and the LORD has taken them away. Evil means were used to take from Job and he attributed the ultimate agent behind the acts was THE LORD.

Job 2:7-10 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. 8 And he took a piece of broken pottery with which to scrape himself while he sat in the ashes.

9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die.”10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

***Job did not sin with his lips in stating to his wife that they receive not only good from God but they also receive evil from God.

Job 42:10-11 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then came to him all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they showed him sympathy and comforted him for all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him. And each of them gave him a piece of money and a ring of gold.

***Notice how The Word of God states that the LORD was the one that ultimately brought evil upon Job though in the story secondary agents are used, i.e., satan.

GOD HOLDS YOUR LIFE AND YOUR NEXT BREATH IN HIS HAND

Job 12:10 In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.

Job 32:8 But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

GOD IS ETERNAL, UNSEARCHABLE
Job 11:7-9 "Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? 8 They are higher than heaven; what can you do? Deeper than Sheol; what can you know? 9 Their measure is longer than the earth And broader than the sea.

GOD DOES WHATEVER HE PLEASES

Job 23:13-14 "But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever His soul desires, that He does. 14 For He performs what is appointed for me, And many such things are with Him. That is why I am terrified before him; when I think of all this, I fear him.16 God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me.

Job 42:2 "I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.

GOD OWNS EVERYTHING

Job 41:11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to Me.

GOD CONTROLS HUMAN HISTORY

Job 14:5 Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.

THE BLESSED HOPE

I had another brother in Christ mock me for believing that Christ returned already. I asked him to provide me with just one verse that Christ will return in our future. He said he had 20 verses. I asked him to give me just one and got a long pause. He then somewhat changed the subject by saying that I'm robbing people of "the blessed HOPE." My Jedi senses picked up on the BLESSED HOPE from Titus, the only place in Scripture where this phrase is.

2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives IN THE PRESENT AGE, 13 WAITING FOR OUR BLESSED HOPE, THE APPEARING OF THE GLORY OF OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, 14 who gave himself for us TO REDEEM US FROM ALL LAWLESSNESS AND TO PURIFY FOR HIMSELF A PEOPLE for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

The present age that Paul and Titus were in was The Old Covenant Age. It came to an end when Christ returned as He promised to that generation to destroy Jerusalem, the symbol of the Old Covenant Age, The old heavens and earth-Matt 24:34-35.

The appearing of Christ in GLORY was Christ’s coming in THE GLORY of The Father and NOT physically, to judge Jerusalem. The Old & New Covenants overlapped between 30 and 70 A.D. While the Old Covenant was on its way out, The New was coming in with power. Saints were being brought out of the old covenant body of death to the law and into the new covenant body of life in Christ by grace.

Many Christians assume the blessed HOPE is Christ physically returning but is this what Scripture teaches? No. This is just being misled by Creeds, Confessions, Church traditions. Some believe the blessed hope is "the rapture." I'm like where is that in the Bible? The bible uses the phrase "blessed hope" just once and how does it define "blessed hope?"

THE BLESSED HOPE IS CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY.

The blessed hope is no longer being separated from God because of sin, death through the covenant of death, the law, the O.T. but being IN Christ and Christ being IN His people.

Colossians 1:27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY.

Hebrews 3:6 but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And WE ARE HIS HOUSE if indeed we hold fast our confidence and OUR BOASTING IN OUR HOPE.

**Christians are the house of God NOW in which The Father, Son and Spirit abide and dwell in. This is what the saints between 30-70AD were waiting for.

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, HE HAS CAUSED US TO BE BORN AGAIN TO A LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

**It is a Sovereign act of God by which one is made a Christians and brought INTO Christ. 1 Cor 1:24,30 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God… 30 IT IS BECAUSE OF HIM THAT YOU ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, SET YOUR HOPE FULLY ON THE GRACE THAT WILL BE BROUGHT TO YOU AT THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.

**Peter is addressing 1^st century saints and stating that at the revelation of Jesus Chris which would be in their lifetime, they would receive grace. The grace of being fully brought into the new covenant body of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 2:19 FOR WHAT IS OUR HOPE OR JOY OR CROWN OF BOASTING BEFORE OUR LORD JESUS AT HIS COMING? IS IT NOT YOU?

**Paul, too, states that the return of Christ would be in his and the Thessalonians’ lifetime. THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS by Tuese Ahkiong

The parable of The Ten Virgins is given within context of The Olivet Discourse which is about The Destruction/ Judgment upon Jerusalem (The Old heavens and earth), The vindication of the saints, The Wedding of Christ and His Bride.

MATTHEW 25:1-13 “THEN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN WILL BE LIKE TEN VIRGINS WHO TOOK THEIR LAMPS AND WENT TO MEET THE BRIDEGROOM. ²Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. ³For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, ⁴but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. ⁵As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. ⁶But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ ⁷Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. ⁸And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ ⁹But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for YOU, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ ¹⁰And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, AND THOSE WHO WERE READY WENT IN WITH HIM TO THE MARRIAGE FEAST, AND THE DOOR WAS SHUT. ¹¹Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ ¹²But he answered, ‘TRULY, I SAY TO YOU, I DO NOT KNOW YOU.’ ¹³Watch therefore, for YOU KNOW NEITHER THE DAY NOR THE HOUR.

**Notice who Christ is speaking to throughout this entire discourse; His disciples in the 1^st century who were listening to His words as He spoke. They are the antecedent of “YOU” throughout this context and not YOU who are reading my article. LOL.

Christ spoke to His disciples during this time when the Old & New Covenants overlapped. The Kingdom was where God’s presence was. It would leave Old Covenant Israel and be fulfilled in New Covenant Israel, The New Jerusalem which is from above; the ekklesia.

The Ten Virgin parable is about being prepared by being in Christ. The Gospel went first to the Jew and then the gentile. Christ earlier in Matthew 24:34 states that everything would happen in their “this generation” including The Gospel going out to the world, His return, great tribulation, judgment…

The 5 wise virgins represented Christians. The 5 foolish virgins were the Jews committed to the old covenant law. In v12 Christ tells these unbelieving Jews that He DOES NOT KNOW THEM. Christ tells His disciples to watch… and then echoes v24:36 in v 25:13 that no one knows the DAY or the HOUR but they did knew the GENERATION; THEIR GENERATION. This is why they needed to be prepared. This parable does NOT refer to future generations because Christ did not direct this parable to future generations. It was limited to that 1st century. The virgins were not the great great great great great great great 2000 + years granddaughters of the virgins. Hello! They're virgins. LOL. Christ was the bridegroom and got married to His virgin bride in 70 A.D.

Paul says:

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

Notice Paul is writing to and presenting the Corinthian Christians along with all the other 1st century Christians to Christ as a pure virgin. This took place in 70 A.D. Therefore, the timing sticks the events in the 1st century. She is no longer a virgin in a sense, so how can she still be presented in the future as a virgin?

If you do not think that it was all fulfilled than do you think the marriage of Christ and His bride is still future?

What reality are you trying to correspond the parable to? Parables are short wise sayings with a special truth and are not literal stories. The spiritual truth is that those who were prepared, who are in Christ, are presented to Christ as a pure virgin when He returned in 70A.D..
