You cannot SEE a SPIRITUAL
KINGDOM with physical eyes

By Tuese Ahkiong

Like the apostate Jews of New Testament times wanted a physical King, physical kingdom, so too, Christians today in 2014 want to be just like them, thanks to the cult of Zionism/ dispensationalism
creeping into the church and spreading its political agenda.

Christians today want to SEE a physical king and a physical kingdom when Scripture teaches that the kingdom is spiritual.

2 Corinthians 5:7  for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Luke 17: 20  Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, 21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”

John 3:3  Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

***In the next 2 passages,
Christ is speaking to Jerusalem a condition.  The condition is until they say “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord,” they will NOT SEE Yeshua as who He is; their Lord and Savior.  Christ says they would die in their sin unless they believe that He is the “I AM.” John 8:24

Matthew 23:39  For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

Luke 13:35  Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say,‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

John 14:1-7  “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

***Christ is speaking of His Father’s House, The New Temple, His People, Bride and Church.  It is The New Covenant World/ New Heavens and New Earth in which Righteousness reigns and where God walks with man spiritually.  Notice at Christ’s coming, He takes His people to Himself.  Where is Christ?  With His people here on earth now!

John 14:15-31  “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18  “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine
but the Father's who sent me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it takes
place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.

***How is it that the world will NOT see Yeshua but the Christians will? It is with spiritual eyes that are
given to God’s people by His grace that they are able to see God.  Where is God’s new home?  Christians.

John 16:5-24 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world
concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and YOU WILL SEE ME no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he
hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify
me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

16 “A little while, and YOU WILL SEE ME no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” 17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?”
18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We do not know what he is talking about.” 19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’? 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my
name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

***Christ will send The Holy Spirit to give believers spiritual eyes to see The Kingdom and The King.

SEEING with your EYES vs. COMPREHENDING, UNDERSTANDING, KNOWING

By Tuese Ahkiong

In Scripture, seeing visually is not always interpreted as perceiving
optically.  Seeing can be used to perceive in an understanding manner.
We use this type of figure of speech in our own language; do you see?
LOL. When I ask “Do you see?” I am not asking you to look at something physical
with your eyes.  I am asking if you are understanding, comprehending and “seeing” my point.  The Scripture is no different.

1.     Isaiah 19:1 An oracle concerning Egypt: See, the LORD RIDEs on a
swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before
him, and the hearts of the Egyptians MELT within them;

2.    **This is an apocalyptic description of God judging Egypt.  Nobody saw with their eyes God riding in on a cloud to Egypt.  They did “see” Egypt getting judged.

3.    Matt 24:30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and
then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

4.     ***In verse 30, Jesus refers to Daniel 7.13-14, which
is a vision of the ascension of Christ and His seating at the right hand of the
Father see also Matt.26.64.
{Notice from the Daniel passage which direction the Son of Man is
going.  He is NOT coming to earth as most Christians believe.  He is
approaching The Ancient of Days.  The phrase “coming on the clouds” is an apocalyptic phrase used to
describe God’s presence, judgment, glory…

5.    **Why would the tribes of the earth (the Greek of earth is “ge” and is also
translated land) or land mourn?
Because God has sent His armies, The Roman armies to destroy the apostate
Israel.
So, what’s this sign that the Son of Man appearing in heaven?  Jerusalem destroyed is the sign that
Christ is at the right hand of Almighty God.

6.    Daniel 7:13-14 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of HEAVEN. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his
presence. 14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all
peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an
everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will
never be destroyed.

7.    Matt 26.64  64”Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: In the future you will see
the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the
clouds of HEAVEN.”

YESHUA tells his disciples that SOME of them would be around to SEE the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

Matthew 16:28  Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Mark 9:1  And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE  the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”

Luke 9:27  But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until theySEE  the kingdom of God.”

8.     **Yeshua is telling the high priest and Jewish leaders that they would “SEE” the Son of
Man sitting at the right hand of The Mighty One and coming on the clouds of
heaven.  Did they “see” this
physically or did they “see” this comprehensively by certain acts God would do
in history and within their lifetime?   They comprehended that Yeshua was at the right hand of
The Mighty One when Jerusalem was being leveled.

9.    **In the next 3 passages, Yeshua is telling His disciples that when they (not us in
2014) see the abomination of desolation that they should flee to the
mountains.  If they could flee to the mountains to avoid this supposed end of the world global nuclear bombs catastrophe, why the heck does Yeshua tell them to just flee to the hills?  LOL.

10.   Matthew 24:15-16 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the
prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

11.   Mark 13:14 “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he
ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

**Let the reader understand refers to reading the prophecies in Daniel to see how they are being fulfilled in the events related to the destruction of Jerusalem.

12.   Luke 21: 20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to themountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, 22for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. 23 Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this
people. 24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, andJerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

13.   **Noticed how Luke connects the desolation with Jerusalem being surrounded by armies. ;-)

14.   Matthew 23:37-39 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 38 See, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

15.   Luke 13:34-35 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 35 Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

16.    ***Yeshua, pronounces judgment upon Jerusalem by saying their house is left to them DESOLATE.  The Jew would not see Yeshua spiritually/ comprehensively until they receive Christ as their Lord Savior.

17.   **God is The Creator.  He gives ears to hear or not and eyes to see or not, physically and spiritually.  In regards to spiritual matters, not all see and hear because God is SOVEREIGN in giving spiritual ears to hear or eyes to see.
Exodus 4: 11 Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

18.   Matthew 13:13-15  This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: “‘“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
15 For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.

20.   Mark 4:11-13 And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, 12 so that  “they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.” 13 And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?

21.   Mark 7:18-19 And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, 19 since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)

22.   Mark 12:10-12  Have you not read this Scripture: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;  11 this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”12 And they were seeking to arrest him but feared the people, for they perceived that he had told the parable against them. So they left him and went away.

23.   Luke 8:9-10 And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant, 10 he said, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

24.   Luke 9:44-45  “Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.” 45 But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, so that they might not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

25.   Isaiah 6:8-10  And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” 9 And he said, “Go, and say to this people: “‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ 10 Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

26.   Acts 28:25-27 And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: “The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet: 26 “‘Go to this people, and say, “You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never
perceive.” 27 For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’

28.   John 12:36-41  While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may
become sons of light.” When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid
himself from them. 37 Though he had done so many signs before them, they still
did not believe in him, 38 so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might
be fulfilled:  “Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord
been revealed?”  39 Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said, 40 “He has
blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.”  41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him.

30.   **The saints perceived the grace that was given Paul.

31.   Galatians 2:9 and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived
the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

Is seeing always with the eye? How was Moses able to SEE Him who is INVISIBLE??? How were the disciples and the apostate Jews able to SEE Christ coming on the clouds? By Tuese Ahkiong

Hebrews 11:27  By faith he (Moses) left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as SEEING HIM WHO IS INVISIBLE.

In Scripture “to see” is not always recognizing something physical with one’s eyes.  Even in our language today, “to see” can mean to recognize, to understand, to be aware of, to perceive, to acknowledge, to affirm that which is not physical, but a proposition, a concept, a reality (like a spiritual reality).  Do you see?  Lol.  So, most modern day Christians limit the definition of seeing physically.  If the definition is NOT limited to physical sight then yes, one can see Him who is invisible.

Romans 1:20  For HIS INVISIBLE ATTRIBUTES, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Colossians 1:15-16  He is the image of THE INVISIBLE GOD, the firstborn of all creation.  16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and INVISIBLE, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

1 Timothy 1:17  To the King of the ages, immortal, INVISIBLE, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

**How can a person today see God?  By having a pure heart.

Matthew 5:8  “Blessed are THE PURE IN HEART, FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD.

**How does one get a pure heart since Scripture teaches that man’s heart is wicked, sinful, impure?

John 3:3  Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, UNLESS ONE IS BORN AGAIN HE CANNOT SEE the kingdom of God.”

**Man must be born again by the grace of God in order to get a pure heart.  Thus, he is able to see God’s Kingdom and see God NOW.  see my article "Born again because one has been born of God."

**The Kingdom of God is perceived spiritually.  It came in power and great glory before the last of Christ’s disciples died and at the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple.

Matthew 16:27-28 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM.”

***Yeshua said that some of His disciples would still be alive to SEE the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.  Either it happen of Yeshua is a liar!  No worries, Christ is not a liar like most futurists Christians make Him.  He returned and some of them saw Him coming in His Kingdom.  see John 21:20-23.

***“COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN” is an apocalyptic description of God’s judgment, presence, glory.  The judgment upon Jerusalem was CHRIST APPEARING A SECOND TIME.  See Heb 9:28   Those in Christ experience His presence NOW!  see my other article "Cloud Comings in the Bible."

Matthew 24:30  Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN with power and great glory.

**The above event, along with everything from v4-33 were to happen in that 1st century "this generation" that Christ spoke of in Matt 24:34 "Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place."
Matthew 26:64  Jesus said to him (the high priest), “You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will SEE THE SON OF MAN seated at the right hand of Power and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”

Mark 9:1  And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD after it has come with power.”

Mark 13:26  And then they will SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory.

Mark 14:62  And Jesus said, “I am, and you will SEE THE SON OF MAN seated at the right hand of Power, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”

Luke 9:27  But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”

Luke 21:27  And then they will SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.

***The saints and the aints (apostate jews) saw The Son of Man Coming in the clouds of heaven with great glory and power to judge apostate Israel.  The sign that Christ was in heaven, vindicated as The Messiah, God, was Jerusalem destroyed.

Revelation 1:7Behold, he is COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM, EVEN THOSE WHO PIERCED HIM, and ALL THE TRIBES OF THE EARTH WILL WAIL ON ACCOUNT OF HIM. Even so. Amen.
***Christ is coming with the clouds.
***Every eye will SEE Him, even those who pierced Him.  Who pierced Yeshua?   The apostate Jews crucified Christ.  Acts 2:23, 36, 4:10.
***Do you noticed how this event is tied in with Matt 24:30 where all the tribes of the earth (or land) wail or mourn?  Well, this Matt 24:30 happened in that 1st century "this generation" as Yeshua said.  Therefore, this Revelation passage, being the same subject happened.  Plus, the things within the book of Revelation are said to be near, coming soon, at hand, shortly come to pass... see my article on "The Time statements within the book of Revelation."

**See my article on "The Conversion of Saul"  Scripture teaches that Saul/Paul never seen Yeshua physically but it does teach that Paul saw The Lord.
1 Corinthians 9:1  Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not you my workmanship in the Lord?
***Did Paul see Jesus in physical form? No.
Did Paul see Jesus?  Yes.

FAITH IS A GIFT OF GOD.  It is my prayer that God by His amazing grace grant you eyes to see Him, The Most Glorious One.

Philippians 1:29
For it HAS BEEN GRANTED TO YOU THAT FOR THE SAKE OF CHRIST YOU SHOULD NOT ONLY BELIEVE in him but also suffer for his sake,

Acts 11:18  When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also GOD HAS GRANTED REPENTANCE THAT LEADS TO LIFE.”
