“CHURCH” is NOT a translation of “EKKLESIA” but a substitution that has created a faulty shifting sand foundation of all sorts of BS!!!

*This above HELPS actually helps confuse readers as to who the ekklesia really WERE! LOL

*Who is the assembly that is being called out in the first century, from where?

What is the meaning and origin of the word churchhttps://www.gotquestions.org/meaning-of-church.html

meaning of church
The Greek word translated “church” in the New Testament is ekklesia. A literal translation of ekklesia would be “a called-out assembly.” How we got our English word church is a different story, but that, too, is rooted in Greek.

Etymologically speaking, the word church means “house of the Lord.” The modern word church is a direct descendant of the Old English word cirice or circe. The first recorded use of the Old English word is from the thirteenth century, and it could refer to either a body of Christian believers or to the place where they gathered.

The early Quakers, as a matter of principle, refused to call the buildings where they met “churches,” since the biblical word church referred to people, not a building. The Quakers instead called a building designed for Christian worship a “steeplehouse.” That term is now archaic, as many church buildings no longer have a steeple.

Going further back than Old English, the word church ultimately traces its origin to a Greek term, kūrikón, which was related to kurios, “lord.” The phrase kūrikón oikía meant “the Lord’s house.” In the Middle Ages, the Greek term for “house of worship” was shortened to kūrkón. And that’s the word that was loaned to West Germanic as kirika and eventually to Old English as cirice.

Old Norse borrowed the Old English word ciriceto form kirkja, and that’s where the Scottish word kirk came from. During the Middle English period, the word kirk was borrowed from the Scots, so now Modern English has both church and kirk as synonyms.

Many English words, especially those related to Christianity, came from Greek and passed through early German dialects. The word church is one of those words. Other English ecclesiastical words that share a Greek origin include ChristangelevangelismbaptizeepiscopalapostlePresbyterian, and charismatic.

Acts 7:38, 19:32, 39, 41

7:38 This is he, who was in the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him in the Mount Sinai and with our fathers, who received the oracles of life to give unto us;

19:32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was confused; and most of them did not know why they were come together.

19:39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

If 19:41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

The word “church” isn’t used until around 13th century and is connected to a physical building structure.  Btw, the first English translation of the Bible was by William Tyndale in 1535 who the evil Roman Catholics tortured to death for doing so. They later exhumed his bones to burn them to ashes in cursing him for his offense of translating the Bible for the common people to know the Scripture in their own tongue!  This was the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.

“Church”

Old English cir(i)cecyr(i)ce, related to Dutch kerk and German Kirche, based on medieval Greek kurikon, from Greek kuriakon (dōma) ‘Lord's (house)’, from kurios ‘master or lord’. Compare with kirk.

“CHURCH” is NOT a translation of “EKKLESIA” but a substitution that has created a faulty shifting sand foundation of all sorts of BS!!!

QUICK SUMMARY OUTLINE OF BIBLE & EKKLESIA!

There are numerous passages in OT referring to Israel as YHWH's Congregation, Assembly.

Scripture teaches YHWH made covenant with Israel like a marriage. Israel became a whore and sinned against YHWH by adultery aka idolatry in worshipping other gods.  Israel broke covenant, became cut off from The Lord, divorced from God, called: 'NOT MY PEOPLE" by YHWH, became lost sheep, and scattered into the gentile pagan nations where they became like the gentiles.

Deuteronomy 4:25-31.

25 “When you father children and children's children, and have grown old in the land, if you act corruptly by making a carved image in the form of anything, and by doing what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, so as to provoke him to anger, 26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess. You will not live long in it, but will be utterly destroyed. 27 And the Lord will SCATTER YOU AMONG THE PEOPLES, and you will be left few in number among THE NATIONS where the Lord will drive you. 28 And there YOU WILL SERVE gods OF WOOD AND STONE, the work of human hands, that neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. 29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in THE LATTER DAYS, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice. 31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.

Ain’t it interesting how the NT writers bring up a group of people scattered!?  Is there a backstory or is this new group of people like Samoans, Koreans, Eskimos…?  Wake up!  The context of those scattered is Israel. You thought the Bible was written to you, for you and about you!?  Lol. James and Peter are writing to for and about The 12 Tribes of Israel scattered. You’re the bad Bible student who doesn’t have a clue of how Israel got scattered and maybe nervous that James and Peter are NOT writing to and for the world of every culture out there but of those they addressed: The 12 Tribes which is Israel and the strangers scattered aka Israel. Those who really know the OT, spider senses easily connected the dots.

John 11:52 and not for that nation only, but that he should also gather together in one the sons of God that were SCATTERED abroad.

James 1:1 James, {Gr. Jacob} a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus, the Christ, to the twelve tribes which are SCATTERED abroad, greeting.

1 Peter 1:1  Peter, apostle of Jesus, the Christ to the strangers SCATTERED in Pontus, in Galatia, in Cappadocia, in Asia, and in Bithynia,

Israel also promised to be regathered out of the nations back into covenant in her latter days (30-70AD), and in the land with YHWH.

Peter established that they were in the last days in Acts 2:16-17.

“No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17“‘In THE LAST DAYS, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.

The word "Ekklesia" means CALLED OUT ONES or CALLED OUT CONGREGATION or CALLED OUT ASSEMBLY.

So, who's being called out?  From where?  Do people who study the Bible even study the Old Testament to get the BACKSTORY!?  Do people even know that Israel was scattered by God into the nations and became like the nations/people? God called Israel, "NOT MY PEOPLE!" and they became like the gentiles worshipping idols? Do people know The Kingdom was divided?

Israel all throughout Old Testament is the only covenant people of God, the apple of His eye, who gets cut off and scattered into the nations.

God later REGATHERS ISRAEL through The Gospel Great Commission using His Fishers of men (Jeremiah 16:16)!  Christ gives Gospel Great Commission to His Apostles and disciples who were empowered by the Holy Spirit so there was no way they could or would fail in fulfilling their mission of bringing the Gospel to the world (covenant world of Scripture) in their generation!!!  They brought in all the elect remnant or Israel aka EKKLESIA = Called out ones/ assembly/ congregation.  Here in context is Israel, the congregation of God that was scattered into the nations is now being gathered!

God also promises to rejoin the divided kingdom (Israel-northern kingdom; Judah- southern kingdom; the 2 sticks joined together become one stick or one kingdom again.  This happened in 70AD.

The lost sheep of the house of Israel were scattered in the nations throughout the Middle East, Europe, Asia Minor, North Africa.

The lost sheep hear the voice of their shepherd and come to Christ in response to the gospel that was ONLY FOR ISRAEL and fulfilled by 70AD.

144,000 aka 12 tribes of the Sons of Israel are redeemed as Revelation 7 & 14 say. Only Israel was saved and this happened in 70AD.

Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, SEALED FROM EVERY TRIBE OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL:

Revelation 14:1-5

behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 WHO HAD HIS NAME AND HIS FATHER'S NAME WRITTEN ON THEIR FOREHEADSAnd I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps, and THEY WERE SINGING A NEW SONG before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been REDEEMED from the earth. IT IS THESE WHO HAVE NOT DEFILED THEMSELVES WITH WOMEN, FOR THEY ARE VIRGINS. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been REDEEMED from mankind as FIRSTFRUITS FOR GOD AND THE LAMB, and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless.

Christ returned in 70AD, resurrection, judgment, marriage of Christ with His bride, the ekklesia (congregation of called out ones indwelt by The Holy Spirit) taken to The Father’s Mansion where they live happily ever after….

THE END!

Bible is NOT your story!!!!
The Bible is Israel's story ONLY!!!
We made the BIG DUMMY ASSUMPTION that the Bible was written to us, for us and about us!!!!

NT has Christ saying he came only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel but y’all believe Christ was a LIAR or didn't mean what He said because Samoans, Russians, Filipinos, Mexicans… are responding to the gospel today 2024 that WASN'T FOR THEM and becoming "Christians."  Smh.  LOL.  Really!?

The Bible is an Israel Only story that ended in 70AD.  We are like NPC's (non-player characters seeking The Truth behind Scripture and the realm we are in!)!

In 2015, I was with a group of Bible friends and we asked questions of what is/ was the gospel, who is/ was it for, what is sin, what is the law and who was under it, who does Scripture say that Yeshua died for?  Can someone be reconciled to God if they never were in a covenant relationship with Him in the first place?  Who in the Bible was in a relationship with God that broke that relationship and needed that relationship reconciled?  Was GC fulfilled in 70AD as scripture teaches then who are we, who is the real ekklesia???  Since ekklesia means CALLED OUT ONES, ASSEMBLY or CONGREGATION, and does NOT mean “CHURCH,” then who is/ was being called out and from where?  And why are some NT authors writing to the scattered 12 tribes of Israel with The Gospel message?  Is there a backstory of the scattered tribes promised being regathered in their latter days (30-70AD)?

Since The Apostles & Disciples of Christ empowered by The Holy Spirit did not fail in bringing in the lost sheep of the house of Israel, was...

Interesting article.  I don’t agree with everything but it does have good points!  “CHURCH” ARTICLE https://www.bible-truth.org/Ekklesia.html

More Articles:

NO HOLY SPIRIT = NO CHRISTIANS & NO "CHURCH"

Just people brainwashed to think that they are Christians & playing "Church."

  1. You can’t be a Christian unless you have The Holy Spirit.
  2. The Holy Spirit was promised only to Israel in her last days 30-70AD.
  3. Therefore, you are not a Christian because you do not have The Holy Spirit who was promised only to Israel in here last days.
  1. “The church” is made up of Christians.
  2. Christians are the Bride of Christ that He returned for in 70AD and took to be with Him in His Father’s mansion (dwelling)
  3. Therefore, there is no “church” or Christians on earth since 70AD.

The Bible story was then resurrected after 70AD by the Romans and Israel’s redemptive story though completed in 70ad, was hijacked with unfulfilled prophecies again!
