One can only be reconciled to another if there first was a relationship to begin with.  Only Israel had a relationship with YHWH and no other people knew YHWH.

GOD only made Himself known to Israel.

Amos 3:1-2
Hear this word that the Lord has spoken against you, O people of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt:  YOU ONLY HAVE I KNOWN OF ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Deuteronomy 7:6
“FOR YOU ARE A PEOPLE HOLY TO THE LORD YOUR GOD. THE LORD YOUR GOD HAS CHOSEN YOU TO BE A PEOPLE FOR HIS TREASURED POSSESSION, OUT OF ALL THE PEOPLES WHO ARE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.

Deuteronomy 10:15
Yet THE LORD SET HIS HEART IN LOVE ON YOUR FATHERS AND CHOSE THEIR OFFSPRING AFTER THEM, YOU ABOVE ALL PEOPLES, as you are this day.

Psalm 147:19-20
HE DECLARES HIS WORD TO JACOB,
HIS STATUTES AND RULES TO ISRAEL.
20 HE HAS NOT DEALT THUS WITH ANY OTHER NATION;THEY DO NOT KNOW HIS RULES.
Praise the Lord!

YHWH RECONCILES ISRAEL TO HIMSELF THROUGH YESHUA

Romans 5:6-11 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
11 For if while we were enemies WE WERE RECONCILEDTO GOD by the death of his Son, much more, NOW THAT WE ARE RECONCILED, shall we be saved by his life.11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom WE HAVE NOW RECEIVED RECONCILIATION.

**Who are the “WE” in this passage?  Paul, The Roman Christians who were gentile Israelites;  “To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints:  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (1:7).

Romans 11:13-16  NOW I AM SPEAKING TO YOU GENTILES.  In as much then AS I AM AN APOSTLE TO THE GENTILES, I magnify my ministry 14 in order somehow to MAKE MY FELLOW JEWS JEALOUS, and thus save some of them
15 For if their rejection means THE RECONCILIATIONOF THE WORLD, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?  16 If the dough offered as first fruits is holy, SO IS THE WHOLE LUMP, and if the root is holy, SO ARE THE BRANCHES.

**THE COVENANT WORLD of ISRAEL: Northern and Southern Kingdoms were being reconciled to YHWH.

1 Corinthians 7:10-11 To the married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): the wife should not separate from her husband
11 (but if she does, she should remain unmarried or else be RECONCILED to her husband), and the husband should not divorce his wife.

**This passage is a good example of reconciliation happens when there is first an established relationship, a separation and then a reuniting.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20  All this is from God, who through Christ RECONCILED us to himself and gave us the ministry of RECONCILIATION;
19that is, in Christ God was RECONCILING THE WORLD TO HIMSELF, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of RECONCILIATION.20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be RECONCILED to God.

**THE COVENANT WORLD of ISRAEL: Northern and Southern Kingdoms were being reconciled to YHWH.

Ephesians 2:11-22  11 Therefore remember that at one time YOU GENTILES IN THE FLESH, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember that YOU WERE AT THAT TIME SEPARATED FROM CHRIST, ALIENATED FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL AND STRANGERS TO THE COVENANTS OF PROMISE, HAVING NO HOPE AND WITHOUT GOD IN THE WORLD. 13 But NOW IN CHRIST JESUS YOU WHO ONCE WERE FAR OFF HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. 14 FOR HE HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE, WHO HAS MADE US BOTH ONE AND HAS BROKEN DOWN IN HIS FLESH THE DIVIDING WALL OF HOSTILITY 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, THAT HE MIGHT CREATE IN HIMSELF ONE NEW MAN IN PLACE OF THE TWO, SO MAKING PEACE, 16 and might RECONCILE US BOTH TO GOD IN ONE BODY THROUGH THE CROSS, THEREBY KILLING THE HOSTILITY. 17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. 18 FOR THROUGH HIM WE BOTH HAVE ACCESS IN ONE SPIRIT TO THE FATHER19 So then you are NO LONGER STRANGERS AND ALIENS, BUT YOU ARE FELLOW CITIZENS WITH THE SAINTS AND MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

**The gentiles were Northern Kingdom Israelites who were scattered by YHWH but being brought back in, reconciled to YHWH through Christ. The wall of separation, hostility existed between Northern and Southern Kingdoms.  The Kingdoms were being reconciled into The Kingdom of Israel or Common Wealth of Israel through Christ.

Colossians 1:19-23  For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
20 and through him to RECONCILE to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
21And YOU, WHO ONCE WERE ALIENATED AND HOSTILE IN MIND, DOING EVIL DEEDS, 22he has now RECONCILED in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

**Christ reconciled the covenant world.
