In The Old Testament, YHWH’s People ISRAEL were known as THE CONGREGATION/ ASSEMBLY.
In The New Testament, YHWH’s People are known as THE EKKLESIA – THE CONGREGATION {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}
QUESTIONS:
Does The New Testament still identify Israel as God’s People and CONGREGATION?
What are they being “called out from?” An Evil World system? Old Covenant Law? Nations?
Do Bible students know that Israel was cut off from YHWH, divorced from Him and scattered into the gentile nations because of their sin of adultery aka idolatry?
Do Bible students know that Israel was prophesied to be worshipping idols in their latter days (30-70AD)?
1. Genesis 49:6 Let my soul not enter into their secret; nor let my honour join their ASSEMBLY; for in their anger they slew a man, and in their own will they dug down a wall.
2. Exodus 12:6 and ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month, and the whole ASSEMBLY of the CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL shall kill it between the two evenings.
3. Exodus 16:3 and the sons of ISRAEL said unto them, It would have been better if we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots and when we ate bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness to kill this whole ASSEMBLY with hunger.
4. Leviticus 4:13 And if the whole CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL sins through ignorance and the thing was hid from the eyes of the ASSEMBLY and they have done something against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done and are guilty,
5. Numbers 14:5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the ASSEMBLY of the CONGREGATION of the sons of ISRAEL.
6. Numbers 29:35 On the eighth day ye shall have a solemn ASSEMBLY; ye shall do no servile work:
7. Deuteronomy 9:10 and the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God, and on them was written according to all the words which the LORD spoke with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the ASSEMBLY.
8. Deuteronomy 10:4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten words which the LORD spoke unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the ASSEMBLY; and the LORD gave them unto me.
9. Deuteronomy 18:16 according to all that thou didst desire of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the ASSEMBLY, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, lest I die.
10. Judges 20:2 And the chief of all the people, even of all the tribes of ISRAEL, were present in the ASSEMBLY of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.
11. Judges 21:8 And they said, Is there anyone of the tribes of ISRAEL that did not come up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And they found that no one from Jabeshgilead had come to the camp nor to the ASSEMBLY.
12. 2 Kings 10:20 And Jehu said, Sanctify a solemn ASSEMBLY for Baal. And they proclaimed it.
13. 2 Chronicles 7:9 And in the eighth day they made a solemn ASSEMBLY, for they had made the dedication of the altar in seven days, and they had celebrated the solemn feast for seven days.
14. 2 Chronicles 30:23 And the whole ASSEMBLY took counsel to keep another seven days, and they kept another seven days with gladness.
15. Nehemiah 5:7 Then I meditated unto myself, and I rebuked the principals and the rulers and said unto them, Does each one of you exact usury of his brother? And I set a great ASSEMBLY against them.
16. Nehemiah 8:18 And Ezra read in the book of the law of God each day, from the first day unto the last day. And they kept the feast seven days, and on the eighth day was a solemn ASSEMBLY, according to the ordinance.

Ezekiel 13:9 And my hand shall be against the prophets that see vanity and that divine lies: they shall not be in the ASSEMBLY of my people, neither shall they be written in the book of the house of ISRAEL, neither shall they return to the land of ISRAEL; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
24. Joel 1:14 Sanctify a fast, call a solemn ASSEMBLY, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the earth into the house of the LORD your God and cry unto the LORD.
