KEY COUNTRIES ISRAEL SCATTERED & DISPERSED INTO

KEY COUNTRIES ISRAEL SCATTERED & DISPERSED INTO

1.      Deuteronomy 4:27-31And the LORD shall SCATTER you among the peoples, and ye shall be left few in number among the Gentiles, unto whom the LORD shall take you. 28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.29 But if from there, thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.30 When thou art in trouble and all these things are come upon thee, if in the latter days thou shalt turn to the LORD thy God and shalt hear his voice31 (for the LORD thy God is a merciful God), he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swore unto them.

7.      Jeremiah 25:34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the dust, ye principals of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your DISPERSIONS accomplished; and ye shall fall like an enticing vessel.

8.      Jeremiah 30:10-11 Therefore fear thou not, O my slave Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I am he that saves thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall turn, and shall rest, and be quiet, and there shall be no one left to SCATTER him.  11For I shall be with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee; and I shall make a full end in all GENTILES among whom I SCATTERED thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will chastise thee with judgment and will not cut thee off altogether.

9.      Ezekiel 6:8 Yet I will leave a remnant that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the GENTILES when ye shall be SCATTERED through the countries.

16.    Ezekiel 36:19 And I SCATTERED them among the GENTILES, and they were DISPERSED through the countries; according to their ways and according to their doings I judged them.

17.    Zechariah 7:14 but SCATTERED them with a whirlwind among all the GENTILES whom they did not know. Thus the land was desolate after them that no man passed through nor returned; for they laid the desirable land desolate.

21.    1 Peter 1:1  Peter, apostle of Jesus, the Christ to the strangers SCATTERED in Pontus, in Galatia, in Cappadocia, in Asia, and in Bithynia,

***Interesting how James and Peter address their epistles to the SCATTERED ISRAELITES aka strangers, 12 Tribes of Israel.  Peter even knows where they are!  Must be the power of The Holy Spirit or they know what their Old Testament says where they were scattered!

John 11:52 and not for that nation only, but that he should also gather together in one the sons of God that were SCATTERED abroad.

In the second chapter of Acts, in the New Testament, Peter speaks to the people in the streets of Jerusalem. Although the people are from fifteen different countries, they are all able to understand Peter:

Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven living in Jerusalem. And at this sound the crowd gathered and was bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in the native language of each. Amazed and astonished, they asked, ‘Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us, in our own native language? Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—in our own languages we hear them speaking about God’s deeds of power.’ 12 All were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, ‘What does this mean?’ 13 But others sneered and said, ‘They are filled with new wine.’ (Acts 2:5-13)

1 Peter 1:1-2
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who are ELECT EXILES OF THE DISPERSION in Pontus, GALATIA, Cappadocia, ASIA, and Bithynia, 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

**The Elect were the remnant of Israel chosen by YHWH and dispersed/ scattered by Him. They were brought back into fellowship with YHWH through the Gospel which was ONLY for them. Notice that the elect were dispersed among the pagan GENTILE NATIONS.  Interesting how biblical Asia is not where we see modern Asia on the maps today.

Galatians 1:1-2
1 Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of GALATIA:

**Notice that Peter identifies Galatia as an area were the ELECT were.

James 1
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the DISPERSION: Greetings.

**Notice James, Yeshua’s brother, is writing to the 12 tribes of Israel in DIASPORA or DISPERSION and NOT to non-Israelites!  kinda weird by today’s standards that God wants everyone saved yet doesn’t write to people in the world,

2 Peter 3:15
And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,

**Peter says that Paul also was writing to THE DIASPORA.  Paul wrote Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Philemon, Galatians, Philippians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Ephesians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4

For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.

**Did pagan Corinthian fathers pass through the sea with Moses? Did Pagan Corinthian fathers eat manna from Heaven and drink water from the rock? God’s elect scattered into the nations were Israelites being called back to their Shepherd.

Revelation 1:4
John to the seven churches (ekklesia) that are in ASIA: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,

**Notice Peter mentions Asia as to where  THE DIASPORA are. Therefore, John is writing to the same elect of Israel.

John 7:32-36

The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these things about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent officers to arrest him. 33 Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me. 34 You will seek me and you will not find me. Where I am you cannot come.” 35 The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? Does he intend to go to the DISPERSION among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? 36 What does he mean by saying, ‘You will seek me and you will not find me,’ and, ‘Where I am you cannot come’?”

**The Jews were aware of the DISPERSION/ THE DIASPORA/ SCATTERED Israelites and called them derogatory names like Greeks, Gentiles, Samaritans.  The Dispersion was The Jews' Northern brothers that they hated. Paul speaks of this division in Ephesians 2:11-22.

John 11:51-52 NASB

Now he did not say this on his own, but as he was high priest that year, he prophesied that JESUS WAS GOING TO DIE FOR THE NATION; 52 and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also GATHER TOGETHER INTO ONE the children of God who are SCATTERED ABROAD.

John 11:51-52   NIV

He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that JESUS WOULD DIE FOR THE JEWISH NATION, 52 and not only for that nation but also for the SCATTERED children of God, to bring them together and MAKE THEM ONE.

(This is the true meaning of the “one new man” Eph 2 reference)
