260,000 cars on average cross into SF at $8 a pop or $2,080,000 per day or
$759,200,000 per year or
$7,592,000,000 in the next decade
The Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) collects tolls on the seven state-owned toll bridges in the Bay Area:
1) Antioch,
2) Benicia-Martinez,
3) Carquinez,
4) Dumbarton,
5) Richmond-San Rafael,
6) San Francisco-Oakland, 260,000
7) San Mateo-Hayward
“Similarly, the figures for the other six state-owned bridges (the Antioch, Benicia-Martinez, Carquinez, Dumbarton, Richmond-San Rafael and San Mateo-Hayward bridges) have been totaling over 5.5 million crossings per day on average (75% of pre-pandemic levels) since January 2021.” https://mtc.ca.gov/news/bridge-crossings-data-your-fingertips
5.5 million + 260,000 = 5,760,000 cars paying $8 toll/ day = $46,080,000/day
ALL 7 BRIDGES BRING IN
$16,819,200,000/year for the state!
almost $17 BILLION for BIG BROTHER!
SO WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO???
In the last 4 years, SF Bay Area bridge usage has declined 20% due to Covid 2020 and more remote/ work from home initiatives.
Wasn’t the toll for the cost of the bridge and maintenance?
Have the tolls exceeded the cost of the bridge and maintenance?
Where does all toll money go???
Where do our taxes go???
Why pay taxes if the govt can just PRINT fiat currency!!!???
