Matthew 15:21-28 NIV: The Faith of a Canaanite Woman
21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”
23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”
25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

Woman calls Christ “Lord” 3 times, and “Son of David.”
Is this suggesting she has a connection to Israel, or just familiar with Israel’s story or just being respectful?
Why was the gospel to the Jews first, then the gentile (Israelites - scattered/ dispersed/ lost Israel)?
Is Christ prioritizing between Jew and Israelite?
Jew first then gentile Israelite?
Was his healing of the Canaanite woman's daughter an act of mercy and compassion in light of Christ's primary mission, the lost sheep of the house of Israel?
Christ calls the Canaanite woman a dog but not like the homies in the 21st century's "dawg!" LOL.
What did He mean?
Gentiles were called dogs by Jews in the sense of being unclean.
Israel became like gentiles when they were cut off from God and called "NOT MY PEOPLE" by God Himself!!!

Matthew 4:24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed,(those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.
The Canaanite women is more specifically Canaanite (Syrophoenician) aka she lived in Syria.

So Bible begins with God making a covenant with Israel and God only loves Israel as the apple of his eye, above all other nations and people.

The kingdom was the kingdom of Judah, the house of Judah (HOJ) in south w 2 tribes where we get Jew. They get exiled in Babylon but later are allowed to return to Judah.
God promises to reunite the kingdoms to one kingdom again; 2 sticks joined as one.

NT opens up with Yeshua, The Good Shepherd himself, saying he came to seek and save that which was lost. Then He gets specific on who those lost that he came seeking to save were:

The word “church” is a bad translation for Ekklesia because more like a SUBSTITUTION!
