DANIEL 7:13-14
13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me WAS ONE LIKE A SON OF MAN, COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN. HE APPROACHED THE ANCIENT OF DAYS AND WAS LED INTO HIS PRESENCE. 14 HE WAS GIVEN AUTHORITY, GLORY AND SOVEREIGN POWER; ALL NATIONS AND PEOPLES OF EVERY LANGUAGE WORSHIPED HIM. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
**THE SON OF MAN approaches THE ANCIENT OF DAYS where He was given authority, glory, Sovereign Power and Worship.
He was NOT approaching people on earth.
“THEN WILL APPEAR THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN IN HEAVEN. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn WHEN THEY SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN, WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY.
**The sign that the Son of Man was in Heaven, was JERUSALEM DESTROYED! This passage echoes Daniel 7:13. Christ is on THE THRONE FULFILLING HIS WORDS THAT THE SON OF MAN WOULD BE EXECUTING JUDGMENT ON UNFAITHFUL UNBELIEVING ISRAEL BY SENDING HIS SERVANTS, THE ROMAN ARMIES TO EXECUTE ADULTEROUS ISRAEL BY DESTROYING THE JERUSALEM. THIS JUDGMENT IS LIKE NUMEROUS OTHER JUDGMENTS OF GOD COMING OF THE CLOUDS TO A NATION TO DESTROY IT!!!
Matthew 24:37-39
37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. THAT IS HOW IT WILL BE AT THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN.
Matthew 26:63-66
63 But Jesus remained silent.
The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: TELL US IF YOU ARE THE MESSIAH, THE SON OF GOD.”
64 “You have said so,” Jesus replied. “BUT I SAY TO ALL OF YOU: FROM NOW ON YOU WILL SEE THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MIGHTY ONE AND COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”
65 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. 66 What is your judgment?” They answered, “He deserves death.”
**Christ tells the high priest that he would see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven. Only God comes on the clouds of heaven. Christ was basically saying that He is God. This is why the high priest and Sanhedrin wanted to kill him. They would SEE (or understand, comprehend, perceive) that The Son of Man was seated at the right hand of Power and Coming on the clouds of heaven in the DESTRUCTION of Jerusalem. see Rev. 1:7 The high priest seeing this, sticks Christ's return in the 1st century "this generation."
“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before THEY SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM.”
**Some of Christ Apostles would still be alive at the destruction of the Temple, which meant Christ was on His Throne in Heaven commanding the destruction of Jerusalem!
Mark 9:1
And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, SOME WHO ARE STANDING HERE WILL NOT TASTE DEATH BEFORE THEY SEE THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD HAS COME WITH POWER.”
The Kingdom of God came with power before some standing with Christ tasted death.
Luke 9:27
“Truly I tell you, SOME WHO ARE STANDING HERE WILL NOT TASTE DEATH BEFORE THEY SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”
Some would still be alive to see THE KINGDOM OF GOD before they died!
For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, SO WILL BE THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN.
MARK 13:25-27
the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
26 “AT THAT TIME PEOPLE WILL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS WITH GREAT POWER AND GLORY. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
Mark 14:61-64
61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.
Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
62 “I am,” said Jesus. “AND YOU WILL SEE THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MIGHTY ONE AND COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”
63 The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. 64 “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”
They all condemned him as worthy of death.
Luke 1:32-33
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
CHRIST REIGNS over Jacob's descendants forever aka ISRAEL.
Luke 17:21-23
21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
22 Then he said to his disciples, “THE TIME IS COMING WHEN YOU WILL LONG TO SEE ONE OF THE DAYS OF THE SON OF MAN, BUT YOU WILL NOT SEE IT. 23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.
Luke 19:41-45
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 THE DAYS WILL COME UPON YOU WHEN YOUR ENEMIES WILL BUILD AN EMBANKMENT AGAINST YOU AND ENCIRCLE YOU AND HEM YOU IN ON EVERY SIDE. 44 THEY WILL DASH YOU TO THE GROUND, YOU AND THE CHILDREN WITHIN YOUR WALLS. THEY WILL NOT LEAVE ONE STONE ON ANOTHER, BECAUSE YOU DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE TIME OF GOD’S COMING TO YOU.”
45 When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling.
Luke 21:5-7
5 Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, 6 “As for what you see here, THE TIME WILL COME WHEN NOT ONE STONE WILL BE LEFT ON ANOTHER; EVERY ONE OF THEM WILL BE THROWN DOWN.”
7 “Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?”
LUKE 21:20-28
20 “WHEN YOU SEE JERUSALEM BEING SURROUNDED BY ARMIES, YOU WILL KNOW THAT ITS DESOLATION IS NEAR. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27 AT THAT TIME THEY WILL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY. 28 WHEN THESE THINGS BEGIN TO TAKE PLACE, STAND UP AND LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, BECAUSE YOUR REDEMPTION IS DRAWING NEAR.”
LUKE 22:67-71
67 “If you are the Messiah,” they said, “tell us.”
Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe me, 68 and if I asked you, you would not answer. 69 BUT FROM NOW ON, THE SON OF MAN WILL BE SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MIGHTY GOD.”
70 They all asked, “Are you then the Son of God?”
He replied, “You say that I am.”
71 Then they said, “Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips.”
CHRIST from that point would be seated at the right hand of THE MIGHTY GOD.
HEAVEN MUST RECEIVE HIM UNTIL THE TIME COMES FOR GOD TO RESTORE EVERYTHING, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.
Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have SUCH A HIGH PRIEST, WHO SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE THRONE OF THE MAJESTY IN HEAVEN,
CHRIST was enthroned at the right hand of the MAJESTY IN HEAVEN.
Revelation 4:1-3
4 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me WAS A THRONE IN HEAVEN WITH SOMEONE SITTING ON IT. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “TO HIM WHO SITS ON THE THRONE AND TO THE LAMB BE PRAISE AND HONOR AND GLORY AND POWER, FOR EVER AND EVER!”
Revelation 20:10-15
10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 THEN I SAW A GREAT WHITE THRONE AND HIM WHO WAS SEATED ON IT. THE EARTH AND THE HEAVENS FLED FROM HIS PRESENCE, AND THERE WAS NO PLACE FOR THEM. 12 AND I SAW THE DEAD, GREAT AND SMALL, STANDING BEFORE THE THRONE, AND BOOKS WERE OPENED. ANOTHER BOOK WAS OPENED, WHICH IS THE BOOK OF LIFE. THE DEAD WERE JUDGED ACCORDING TO WHAT THEY HAD DONE AS RECORDED IN THE BOOKS. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation 22:1-3
22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. THE THRONE OF GOD AND OF THE LAMB WILL BE IN THE CITY, AND HIS SERVANTS WILL SERVE HIM.
Ephesians 1:19-21
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 HE EXERTED WHEN HE RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD AND SEATED HIM AT HIS RIGHT HAND IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS, 21 FAR ABOVE ALL RULE AND AUTHORITY, POWER AND DOMINION, AND EVERY NAME THAT IS INVOKED, NOT ONLY IN THE PRESENT AGE BUT ALSO IN THE ONE TO COME.
CHRIST is seated at the right hand of THE FATHER.
Colossians 3:1-3
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, SET YOUR HEARTS ON THINGS ABOVE, WHERE CHRIST IS, SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
CHRIST is seated at the right hand of GOD.
