The phrase “first to/ for the Jew, then to the gentile” implies an order in gospel, distress and glory in the verses below. WHY?
The word, "Jew" comes from Judah. The southern kingdom or House of Judah with 2 tribes (Judah and Benjamin) and both were called Jews when the kingdom was divided.

Was it because Judah was the head tribe in which The King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Messiah, High Priest would come???
Was it because Judah was in proximity to where Christ was born and ministered?
Was it because Judah was the older brother in the parable of The Prodigal Son at home taking care of the father's house?
Was it because Judah wasn’t as bad a whore as Israel???

So, who is the GENTILE in this phrase????
