SUN RAYS KISSING MY SKIN
(INSTEAD OF YOU)
by Tuese Ahkiong
Before me
an endless ocean
and a sky of blue
Sun rays kissing my skin
Instead of you.
Waves roaring,
kiddies laughing,
birdies singing
and thoughts dreaming...
That this sea of love would be kind
And find
A gal
to drown
deep down
inside
of me
But will it ever be?
A wish come alive?
An open door
to wake me
from this sandy floor?
Still waiting
the day
she would wash upon my shore...
sigh.
