Jason DeCostas’ “JESUS AND THE PROMISE” is definitely 10-STARS the best book on the message, story, theme of Scripture that I have read! The book is an easy read that is experienced like a suspense thriller as tons of light bulb clues to the bibles real plot starts flashing bright! We have all been reading the bible WRONG or reading someone else’s epistles or mail! You’ll easily find lots of nuggets of truth when you dive in! I love how this book brings out so much CLARITY of how the bible centers and focuses from beginning to end on THE PROMISES, adoption, glory, covenants, worship, THE LAW made to, for and with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (ISRAEL)!
The book solves who the gentiles are by context and by comparing Scripture with Scripture!
- It’s even more limited than Calvinism! LOL.
There’s so much juicy TRUTH to enjoy as the author places doctrine in its proper historic context as well as proper categories which brings greater understanding of the overarching bible story, especially with the familial or family aspect of God’s people connected through their blood, descendants, and heritage! Why the heck would the Bible have numerous pages of genealogy if their blood line didn’t matter!?
Indeed, this book will revolutionize your understanding of Scripture from what probably 99.99% of “Christians” have been taught; that the bible is a good news book for saving all of humanity! Wrong! Wait till you see the undeniable proof of Israel Only that you will wonder how you were made blind from seeing the obvious!
