“The Gentiles” Who Are aka "Scattered Israelites" who believed in Christ

GENTILE is a confusing word that just means People(s) or Nations.  When the kingdom was divided, 10 tribes were scattered in the North were called the House of Israel.  They were also called, "NOT MY PEOPLE" by YHWH for being adulterous law-breaking idolaters.  


Two tribes in the South (Judah & Benjamin) were known as House of Judah from where we get the word, "Jew." 


North/ 10 tribes - Israel: Israelite/ GENTILE/ Uncircumcised/ Lawless Law-breakers

South/ 2 tribes - Judah: Jew/ Israelite/ Circumcised/ Law keeper


Every Jew is an Israelite but not every Israelite is a Jew.  It's like every Californian is a US citizen but not even US citizen is a Californian.


Gentile became associated with the Northern Kingdom Israel because they were cut off from covenant, called, "NOT MY PEOPLE," lived uncircumcised like the pagan idolaters, and were not covenant LAW keepers.  Judah hated their northern lawless brothers for this and tried to separate from them and called them gentiles, pagans, samaritans, uncircumcised, dogs...  If this sounds familiar, it's the parable of the Prodigal Son and every other parable which is basically highlighting the divided kingdom.

Part of the Gospel was restoring The Kingdom of Israel (All 12 Tribes) to one nation, one people, ruled by One Shepherd King Yeshua!  At the end of the Bible, only the 12 tribes of Israel are REDEEMED aka SAVED!  "The End" of the Bible story.


ACTS 1:6 Then they (Apostles) gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”


Revelation 7:4 Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. 


Revelation 14:3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.



Gentile often can refer to many non-Israelites that we see in Scripture like Egyptians, Assyrians, Romans, Greeks, Persians... but we must pay close attention to the context to discern if that is so, because it could be referring to the uncircumcised, lawless, cut off, "Not My People," GENTILE ISRAELITES!!!
