HOSEA 1
This is the Lord’s message that came to Hosea son of Beeri during the time of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the time of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, he said to him, “Go marry a prostitute who will bear illegitimate children conceived through prostitution, because the nation continually commits spiritual prostitution by turning away from the Lord.” 3 So Hosea married Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim. Then she conceived and gave birth to a son for him. 4 Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Name him ‘Jezreel,’ because in a little while I will punish the dynasty of Jehu on account of the bloodshed in the valley of Jezreel, and I will put an end to THE KINGDOM OF ISRAEL.5 At that time, I will destroy the military power of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”
6 She conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. Then the Lord said to him, “Name her ‘No Pity’ (Lo-Ruhamah) because I will no longer have pity on the nation of Israel. For I will certainly not forgive their guilt. 7 But I will have pity on the nation of Judah. I will deliver them by the Lord their God; I will not deliver them by the warrior’s bow, by sword, by military victory, by chariot horses, or by chariots.”
8 When she had weaned “No Pity” (Lo-Ruhamah), she conceived again and gave birth to another son. 9 Then the Lord said: “Name him ‘Not My People’ (Lo-Ammi), because you are not my people and I am not your God.”
10 (2:1) However, in the future the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the sea that can be neither measured nor numbered. Although it was said to them, “You are not my people,” it will be said to them, “You are children of the living God!” 11 Then the people of Judah and the people of Israel will be gathered together. They will appoint for themselves one leader, and will flourish in the land. Certainly, the day of Jezreel will be great!
***Hosea is straight forward of who is called "NOT MY PEOPLE" by God and that is ISRAEL, The Northern Kingdom!
***Paul sights Hosea regarding those who were called, "NOT MY PEOPLE."
And appoint for themselves one head; And they shall come up out of the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel!
**v11 Notice how YHWH’S WORD prophesies that the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be GATEHRED TOGETHER. Since Romans was written around 57-58 AD at the end of the old covenant age and states that those things which God prophesied in Hosea were happening in the 1st century, then the SONS OF GOD or CHILDREN OF GOD were present in the first century. The fulfillment of THE REVEALING OF THE SONS OF GOD happened by 70AD. Romans 8:12-25
1 Peter 2:9-10
I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit— 2 I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people,those of my own race, 4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.
6 It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”
10 Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac.11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all!15 For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?”20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?
22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction?23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory—
24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles (ISRAELITE)? 25 As he says in Hosea:
“I will call them ‘my people’ who are NOT MY PEOPLE (ISRAELITE) ;
and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is NOT MY LOVED ONE ,”(ISRAELITE)
26 and,
“In the very place where it was said to them,
‘You are not my people,’(ISRAELITE)
there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”
27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:
“Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,
only the remnant (ISRAELITE) will be saved.
28 For the Lord will carry out
his sentence on earth with speed and finality.”
29 It is just as Isaiah said previously:
“Unless the Lord Almighty
had left us descendants,
we would have become like Sodom,
we would have been like Gomorrah.”
30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles(ISRAELITE) , who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. 33 As it is written:
“See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall,
and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
So I ask, God has not rejected his people (ALL ELECT ISRAEL), has he? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not rejected his people (ALL ELECT ISRAEL) whom he foreknew! Do you not know what the scripture says about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars; I alone am left and they are seeking my life!” 4 But what was the divine response to him? “I have kept for myself 7,000 people who have not bent the knee to Baal.”
5 So in the same way at the present time there is a remnant (ALL ELECT ISRAEL) chosen by grace. 6 And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace. 7 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was diligently seeking, but the elect obtained it. The rest were hardened, 8 as it is written,
“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear,
to this very day.”
9 And David says,
“Let their table become a snare and trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
10 let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see,
and make their backs bend continually.”
11 I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall, did they? Absolutely not! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles (ISRAELITES), to make Israel (JUDAH-JEWS) jealous. 12 Now if their transgression means riches for the world and their defeat means riches for the Gentiles (ISRAELITES), how much more will their full restoration bring?
13 Now I am speaking to you Gentiles (ISRAELITES). Seeing that I am an apostle to the Gentiles (ISRAELITES), I magnify my ministry, 14 if somehow I could provoke my people (JUDAH-JEWS) to jealousy and save some of them. 15 For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world (COVENANT WORLD), what will their (JUDAH-JEWS) acceptance be but life from the dead? 16 If the first portion of the dough offered is holy, then the whole batch is holy, and if the root is holy, so too are the branches.
17 Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you (ISRAELITE), a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them and participated in the richness of the olive root, 18 do not boast over the branches. But if you (ISRAELITE) boast, remember that you (ISRAELITE) do not support the root, but the root supports you (ISRAELITE). 19 Then you (ISRAELITE) will say, “The branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20 Granted! They (JUDAH-JEWS) were broken off because of their unbelief, but you (ISRAELITE) stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear! 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches (JUDAH-JEWS), perhaps he will not spare you (ISRAELITE). 22 Notice therefore the kindness and harshness of God—harshness toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness toward you (ISRAELITE), provided you (ISRAELITE) continue in his kindness; otherwise you (ISRAELITE) also will be cut off. 23 And even they (JUDAH-JEWS)—if they (JUDAH-JEWS) do not continue in their unbelief—will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you (ISRAELITE) were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these natural branches (JUDAH-JEWS) be grafted back into their own olive tree?
25 For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: A partial hardening has happened to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles (ISRAELITE) has come in. 26 And so ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion;
he will remove ungodliness from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them,
when I take away their sins.”
28 In regard to the gospel they (JUDAH-JEWS) are enemies for your sake, but in regard to election they (JUDAH-JEWS) are dearly loved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable. 30 Just as you (ISRAELITE) were formerly disobedient to God, but have now received mercy due to their disobedience, 31 so they too have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you (ISRAELITE), they (JUDAH-JEWS) too may now receive mercy. 32 For God has consigned all people to disobedience so that he may show mercy to them all.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!
34 For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?
35 Or who has first given to God,
that God needs to repay him?
36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.
The fullness of the gentiles came in and ALL ISRAEL WAS SAVED and all prophecies fulfilled in 70AD, thus the Bible story ended!
The Bible story was then resurrected after 70AD by the Romans and Israel’s redemptive story though completed in 70ad, was hijacked with unfulfilled prophecies again!
