Acts 17:26

NIV 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 

WEB 26 He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings,

26“And He has made from one blood (text omits “blood”) 

every nation (ethnos- “tribe”) 

of men to dwell on all the face of the earth (ge- “land”), 

and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings (see Joshua, Ezekiel etc for God dividing the land and making boundaries for the 12 tribes aka the “men” in focus.). 

 

Deuteronomy 32:8 

When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind,
he set up boundaries for the peoples
    according to the number of the sons of Israel.

Joshua 11:23
So Joshua took the entire land, just as the Lord had directed Moses, and he gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal divisions. Then the land had rest from war.
