WHO WERE THE GENTILES? The remnant of Israel, the lost sheep of the house of Israel or Diaspora scattered among the nations and called GENTILES by the southern kingdom, Judah/ Jews. by Tuese Ahkiong
The word "Gentile" comes from Latin word "Gentilis." The Greek words translated as Gentile are “ethnikos” which means after the manner of Gentiles; “ethnos” refers to the nation(s), clan(s), heathen, people; and “Hellen” means Greek, Gentile.
The word Gentile has come to be known as non-Jew.
Another definition for gentile is for the Northern Kingdom, Israel being CUT-OFF by YHWH for its adultery and idolatry. In Hosea 1, YHWH calls Israel, The Northern Kingdom, "NOT MY PEOPLE" and also her who was "NOT BELOVED." The southern kingdom despised the northern kingdom for being lawless half breed Samaritans which created the wall of hostility (eph 2:14-16)
Of course, the context determines how gentile is defined.

YHWH prophesies through Moses that Israel will be SCATTERED among the nations and essentially become like pagans GENTILES in their idolatry.
DEUT 4:27-31

**The Elect were the remnant of Israel chosen by YHWH and dispersed or scattered by Him. They were brought back into fellowship with YHWH through the Gospel which was ONLY for them. Notice that the elect were dispersed among the pagan GENTILE NATIONS.
Galatians 1:1-21 Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of GALATIA:
**Notice that Peter identifies Galatia as an area were the ELECT were.
James 11 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the DISPERSION: Greetings.
**Notice James, Yeshua’s brother, is writing to the DIASPORA. Remember Christ said He came ONLY FOR the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
2 Peter 3:15And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,
**Peter says that Paul is also writing to the DIASPORA.
Revelation 1:4 John to the seven churches that are in ASIA: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,
*Notice Peter mentions Asia as to where the diaspora are. Therefore, John is writing to the same elect of Israel.
MATTHEW 24:13 But HE WHO ENDURES TO THE END SHALL BE SAVED. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in ALL THE WORLD as a witness to ALL THE NATIONS, and THEN THE END WILL COME.
**Notice Christ tells his fishermen or Apostles/ Disciples that they will preach in all the world (covenant world is the context) as a witness to ALL THE NATIONS.
What “end” did Christ speak of?
MATT 24: 2-3 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, NOT ONE STONE SHALL BE LEFT HERE UPON ANOTHER, THAT SHALL NOT BE THROWN DOWN.”
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of THE END OF THE AGE?”
v34 says: 34 Assuredly, I say to you, THIS GENERATION WILL BY NO MEANS PASS AWAY TILL ALL THESE THINGS TAKE PLACE.
**Christ says that the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in ALL THE WORLD as a witness to ALL THE NATIONS. The context is THE COVENANT WORLD that was scattered in THE GENTILE NATIONS IN THAT "THIS GENERATION" 1st century.
Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of ALL THE NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
**Christ is giving “The Great Commission” to His 1st century Apostles and Disciples. They succeeded in fishing out YHWH’s ELECT REMNANT in that last generation of the OC from the GENTILE NATIONS where Israelites were essentially GENTILES because they were cut off from YHWH and The Commonwealth of Israel.

I said before that Covenant Creation and Preterism are more hardcore than Calvinism because the elect are fewer than what reformed folk have misinterpreted by reading themselves into Scripture as the elect. smh. How did I miss this when I was a Reformed Calvinist? By being indoctrinated into a tradition of man.
**MATTHEW 24 and MARK 13 are about what would happen in that 1st century “THIS GENERATION”
Matthew 24:22And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for THE ELECT’s sake those days will be shortened.
Matthew 24:24For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even THE ELECT.
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together HIS ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
***HIS ELECT were gathered in that first century THIS GENERATION v34
Mark 13:20And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for THE ELECT’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.
Mark 13:22For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even THE ELECT.
And then He will send His angels, and gather together HIS ELECT from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.

And shall God not avenge HIS OWN ELECT who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
Who shall bring a charge against GOD’S ELECT? It is God who justifies.
(for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God ACCORDING TO ELECTION might stand, not of works but of Him who calls),
Romans 11:5-7Even so then, at THIS PRESENT TIME there is A REMNANT according to THE ELECTION of grace. 6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. 7What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but THE ELECT have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
**According to this passage when would a remnant according to the election of grace be?
**What did the elect obtain?
**Who was blinded?
Romans 11:25-28 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to ISRAEL until the FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES has come in. 26 And so ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness FROM JACOB;
27 For this is MY COVENANT WITH THEM,
WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS.”
28Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning THE ELECTION they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.
**Who was blinded? Israel
** Who were the gentiles? The 10 Northern Tribes
**Who is ALL ISRAEL? The elect remnant of the 10 Northern Tribes & 2 Southern Tribes who are saved by The Gospel.
**Who did YHWH covenant with to take away their sins? Israel.
Who was the enemies of the gospel? unelected Jews (Israel).
**Who was Jacob? The whole house of Israel both northern and southern kingdoms
Colossians 3:12Therefore, as THE ELECT OF GOD, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
**Who was the elect of God? The remnant of Israel who placed faith in Christ.
**The elect will be with Christ at His appearing when? v4 When Christ appears as Scripture says in that 1st century THIS GENERATION.
**When will judgment and wrath come? v6 In that 1st century THIS GENERATION.
1 Thessalonians 1:1-5

To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

**When would THE ELECT obtain salvation? At Christ's return in 70AD to judge Israel.

**Who were the dispersion? The elect ex-Israelite gentiles who were scattered by YHWH who used the Assyrians in 722 BC.
She who is in Babylon, ELECT TOGETHER WITH YOU, greets you; and so does Mark my son.
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to MAKE YOUR CALL AND ELECTION SURE, for if you do these things you will never stumble;

THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME

Scripture teaches that the scattered tribes of Israel or Diaspora were THE GENTILES we see in the NT. They were scattered among the gentile nations and became like them because of their sin of idolatry.
Check these 2 passages out:
Amos 9:9-12 9 “For surely I will command, AND WILL SIFT THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AMONG ALL NATIONS,As grain is sifted in a sieve; YET NOT THE SMALLEST GRAIN SHALL FALL TO THE GROUND.10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’
11 “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old;
12 That they may possess the REMNANT OF EDOM, AND ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,”
Says the Lord who does this thing.
Acts 15:14-17 14 Simon has declared HOW GOD AT THE FIRST VISITED THE GENTILES TO TAKE OUT OF THEM A PEOPLE FOR HIS NAME. 15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
16 ‘After this I will return
AND WILL REBUILD THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID, WHICH HAS FALLEN DOWN;
I WILL REBUILD ITS RUINS,
AND I WILL SET IT UP;
17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
Even all THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,
Says the Lord who does all these things.’
**In Amos, YHWH proclaims He will sift the house of Israel among all nations to gather the grain or the remnant. v12 We see the remnant of Edom which is the Diaspora who are the GENTILES who are called by YHWH's name.
Acts describes the same gentiles who are called by YHWH's Name being taken out to be His People being fulfilled 1st century.

there THEY WILL BE CALLED ‘SONS OF THE LIVING GOD.’”
27 And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, ONLY A REMNANT OF THEM WILL BE SAVED, 28 forTHE LORD WILL CARRY OUT HIS SENTENCEUPON THE EARTH FULLY AND WITHOUT DELAY.” 29 And as Isaiah predicted,
“If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring, we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah.”
30 What shall we say, then? THAT GENTILES WHO DID NOT PURSUE RIGHTEOUSNESS HAVE ATTAINED IT, that is, a righteousness THAT IS BY FAITH; 31 but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law. 32 Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone, 33 as it is written,
“Behold, I AM LAYING IN ZION A STONE OF STUMBLING, AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE;
AND WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.”
**v23 “THE ELECT OF SCRIPTURE” are those who are known by YHWH as His remnant, vessels of mercy from both southern and northern kingdoms.
**v24 “EVEN US” are the remnant from the diaspora, Northern Kingdom, Israel, the GENTILES.
There are also those whom are called from the gentiles
**v25 “THOSE WHERE WERE NOT YHWH’s PEOPLE and who NOT BELOWVED were the Northern Kingdom, Israel, whom YHWH declares, “MY PEOPLE” and “BELOVED.”
**V26 They are called, “SONS OF THE LIVING GOD” in the place they were declared “Not My People.”
**v27 THE REMENANT WERE SAVED.
**V28 The Lord carries out His sentence upon the covenant world fully and without delay in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD.
**v29 THE GENTILES, those of the Northern kingdom who were cut off attained RIGHTEOUS by FAITH.
**v30 GENTILES who did not pursue righteousness ATTAINED IT, that is RIGHTEOUSNESS by FAITH.
**V33 APOSTATE JEWS REJECTED THEIR MESSIAH and were put to shame, 70AD!
FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH, FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF HEAVEN TO THE OTHER

The word for earth is eretz (Hebrew) or ge (greek) and can be translated as land. Throughout Scripture it refers to the land of Israel, the covenant land or covenant world. Four corners, four winds from one end of heaven/ earth/ land is an apocalyptic, figurative, and symbolic descriptions of actions of YHWH over His covenant realm.
It's interesting how the boundaries of Israel are quadrilateral, thus, making 4 corners and 4 winds more relevant.
The New Testament passages below describe the Old Covenant World/ Land.
Matthew 12:42 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for SHE CAME FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH to hear the wisdom
of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.
Luke 11:31 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for SHE CAME FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.
**The Queen of the south came from the south end of the covenant land in Sheba, Ethiopa.
Matthew 24:31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather HIS ELECT from the FOUR WINDS, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mark 13:27 And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect FROM THE FOUR WINDS, FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH TO THE ENDS OF HEAVEN.
**Yeshua’s messengers gathered the elect of YHWH through the Gospel in the 1stcentury.
Revelation 7:1 [The 144,000 of Israel Sealed] After this I saw four angels standing at the FOUR CORNERS of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree.
**The four corners of the covenant land was about to face judgment.
Revelation 20:7-8 7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
**The Old Covenant World/Land was judged by foreign armies compiled by the Romans.
FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH

He will raise a signal for the nations and WILL ASSEMBLE THE BANISHED OF ISRAEL, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS of the earth.
**Notice how this is fulfilled in Matthew 24:31 and Mark 13:26
Ezekiel 7:2 “And you, O son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the FOUR CORNERS of the land.
Jeremiah 49:36 And I will bring upon Elam the FOUR WINDS from the four quarters of heaven. And I WILL SCATTER THEM TO ALL THOSE WINDS, and there shall be no nation to which those driven out of Elam shall not come.
Ezekiel 37:9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the FOUR WINDS, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”
Daniel 7:2 Daniel declared, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the FOUR WINDS of heaven were stirring up the great sea.
Daniel 8:8 Then the goat became exceedingly great, but when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four conspicuous horns toward the FOUR WINDS of heaven.
Daniel 11:4 And as soon as he has arisen, his kingdom shall be broken and divided toward the FOUR WINDS of heaven, but not to his posterity, nor according to the authority with which he ruled, for his kingdom shall be plucked up and go to others besides these.

Deuteronomy 4:32 [ The Lord Alone Is God ] “For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, SINCE THE DAY THAT GOD CREATED MAN ON THE EARTH, AND ASK FROM ONE END OF HEAVEN TO THE OTHER, whether such a great thing as this has ever happened or was ever heard of.
Psalm 19:6 ITS RISING IS FROM THE END OF THE HEAVENS, AND ITS CIRCUIT TO THE END OF THEM, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
Isaiah 13:5 THEY COME FROM A DISTANT LAND, FROM THE END OF THE HEAVENS, the Lord and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
Jeremiah 10:13 When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH. He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

5 “Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On the day when I chose Israel and raised My hand in an oath to the descendants of the house of Jacob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, I raised My hand in an oath to them, saying, ‘I am the Lord your God.’ 6 On that day I raised My hand in an oath to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands. 7 Then I said to them, ‘Each of you, throw away the abominations which are before his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’ 8 But they rebelled against Me and would not obey Me. They did not all cast away the abominations which were before their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said, ‘I will pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.’ 9 BUT I ACTED FOR MY NAME’S SAKE, THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE PROFANED BEFORE THE GENTILES among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
10 “Therefore I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. 11 And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them.’ 12 Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. 13 Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them. 14 BUT I ACTED FOR MY NAME’S SAKE, THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE PROFANED BEFORE THE GENTILES, in whose sight I had brought them out. 15 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, 16 because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols. 17 Nevertheless My eye spared them from destruction. I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.
18 “But I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols. 19 I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; 20 hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’
21 “Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; but they profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the wilderness. 22 NEVERTHELESS I WITHDREW MY HAND AND ACTED FOR MY NAME’S SAKE, THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE PROFANED IN THE SIGHT OF THE GENTILES, in whose sight I had brought them out. 23 ALSO I RAISED MY HAND IN AN OATH TO THOSE IN THE WILDERNESS, THAT I WOULD SCATTER THEM AMONG THE GENTILES AND DISPERSE THEM THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRIES, 24 because they had not executed My judgments, but had despised My statutes, profaned My Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on their fathers’ idols.
25 “Therefore I also gave them up to statutes that were not good, and judgments by which they could not live; 26 and I pronounced them unclean because of their ritual gifts, in that they caused all their firstborn to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate and that they might know that I am the Lord.” ’
27 “Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “In this too your fathers have blasphemed Me, by being unfaithful to Me. 28 When I brought them into the land concerning which I had raised My hand in an oath to give them, and they saw all the high hills and all the thick trees, there they offered their sacrifices and provoked Me with their offerings. There they also sent up their sweet aroma and poured out their drink offerings. 29 Then I said to them, ‘What is this high place to which you go?’ So its name is called Bamah to this day.” ’ 30 Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Are you defiling yourselves in the manner of your fathers, and committing harlotry according to their abominations? 31 For when you offer your gifts and make your sons pass through the fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols, even to this day. So shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live,” says the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you. 32 What you have in your mind shall never be, when you say, ‘WE WILL BE LIKE THE GENTILES, LIKE THE FAMILIES IN OTHER COUNTRIES, SERVING WOOD AND STONE.’
God Will Restore Israel
33 “AS I LIVE,” SAYS THE LORD GOD, “SURELY WITH A MIGHTY HAND, WITH AN OUTSTRETCHED ARM, AND WITH FURY POURED OUT, I WILL RULE OVER YOU. 34 I WILL BRING YOU OUT FROM THE PEOPLES AND GATHER YOU OUT OF THE COUNTRIES WHERE YOU ARE SCATTERED, WITH A MIGHTY HAND, WITH AN OUTSTRETCHED ARM, AND WITH FURY POURED OUT. 35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face. 36 Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you,” says the Lord God.
37 “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 38 I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
39 “As for you, O house of Israel,” thus says the Lord God: “Go, serve every one of you his idols—and hereafter—if you will not obey Me; but profane My holy name no more with your gifts and your idols. 40 For on My holy mountain, on the mountain height of Israel,” says the Lord God, “there all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, shall serve Me; there I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings and the firstfruits of your sacrifices, together with all your holy things. 41 I WILL ACCEPT YOU AS A SWEET AROMA WHEN I BRING YOU OUT FROM THE PEOPLES AND GATHER YOU OUT OF THE COUNTRIES WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN SCATTERED; AND I WILL BE HALLOWED IN YOU BEFORE THE GENTILES. 42 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for which I raised My hand in an oath to give to your fathers. 43 And there you shall remember your ways and all your doings with which you were defiled; and you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight because of all the evils that you have committed. 44 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have dealt with you for My name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways nor according to your corrupt doings, O house of Israel,” says the Lord God.’ ”
Fire in the Forest
45 Furthermore the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 46 “Son of man, set your face toward the south; preach against the south and prophesy against the forest land, the South, 47 and say to the forest of the South, ‘Hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree and every dry tree in you; the blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be scorched by it. 48 All flesh shall see that I, the Lord, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.” ’ ”
49 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! They say of me, ‘Does he not speak parables?’ ”
For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.

**YHWH makes good on His Word to scatter Israel for her adultery and idolatry:
32 What you have in your mind shall never be, when you say, ‘WE WILL BE LIKE THE GENTILES, LIKE THE FAMILIES IN OTHER COUNTRIES, SERVING WOOD AND STONE.’
**ISRAEL says in their mind that THEY WILL BE LIKE THE GENTILES because of being scattered into the gentile nations for their sin.
41 I WILL ACCEPT YOU AS A SWEET AROMA WHEN I BRING YOU OUT FROM THE PEOPLES AND GATHER YOU OUT OF THE COUNTRIES WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN SCATTERED; AND I WILL BE HALLOWED IN YOU BEFORE THE GENTILES.
**YHWH promises to gather them out of the gentile nations and He is NOT a LIAR. They were re-gathered by The Gospel.
Does Romans 11:25 make sense now???
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel UNTIL THE FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES HAS COME IN. 26 AND SO ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. AND AS MANY AS HAD BEEN APPOINTED TO ETERNAL LIFE BELIEVED.
***THE GENTILES WERE THE SCATTERED NORTHERN KINGDOM, ISRAEL. THEY WERE BROUGHT BACK INTO THE KINGDOM BY 70AD. THE APOSTLES FULFILLED THE GREAT COMMISSION OR THE GREAT FISHING TRIP TO FISH THE ELECT REMNANT OF ISRAEL OUT OF THE NATIONS.

Matthew 25:32 Before him WILL BE GATHERED ALL THE NATIONS and he will separate people one from another AS A SHEPHERD SEPARATES THE SHEEP FROM THE GOATS.
John 11:52 and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also GATHER TOGETHER INTO ONE THE CHILDREN OF GOD WHO ARE SCATTERED ABROAD.
Ezekiel 37:1-14is about the resurrection, being brought back into the land, back into covenant, back into relationship with YHWH and no longer CUT-OFF!
Ezekiel 37:15-28 The word of the Lord came to me: 16 “Son of man, take a stick and write on it, ‘For Judah, and the people of Israel associated with him’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph (the stick of Ephraim) and all the house of Israel associated with him.’ 17 And join them one to another into ONE STICK,that they may become one in your hand. 18 And when your people say to you, ‘Will you not tell us what you mean by these?’ 19 say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am about to take the stick of Joseph (that is in the hand of Ephraim) and the tribes of Israel associated with him. And I will join with it the stick of Judah, and make them ONE STICK, that they may be ONE IN MY HAND. 20 When the sticks on which you write are in your hand before their eyes, 21 then say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from THE NATIONSamong which they have gone, and WILL GATHER THEM FROM ALL AROUND, AND BRING THEM TO THEIR OWN LAND. 22 And I will MAKE THEM ONE NATIONin the land, on the mountains of Israel. And ONE KING shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer TWO NATIONS, and no longer divided into TWO KINGDOMS. 23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS. But I will SAVE THEMfrom all the backslidings in which THEY HAVE SINNED, and will cleanse THEM; and THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD.

They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. 25 They shall DWELL IN THE LAND that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. It shall be an EVERLASTING COVENANT WITH THEM. NOTICE how Christ gathers the nations (northern and southern Kingdom) in Judgment
Matthew 25:32Before him will be gathered all the NATIONS and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
**Notice how Christ gathers the elect remnant from north and south into one.
John 11:52and not for the NATION only, but also to gather into one THE CHILDREN OF GOD WHO ARE SCATTERED ABROAD.
v19 YHWH will make the stick of Joseph and the stick of Judah into ONE STICK.
v21 YHWH gathers the people of Israel from the nations where they were gone or were scattered.
Look at v22 How YHWH calls the northern and southern kingdomS, TWO NATION[S], TWO KINGDOM(S) plural. Notice how this is the time when YHWH cleanses and calls these people, "MY PEOPLE" again.
v22 YHWH makes north and south kingdoms ONE NATION with ONE KING, YESHUA.
V23 YHWH says that He will SAVE THEM. Romans 11: 26 says that ALL ISRAEL SAVED.
V24 CHRIST IS KING OVER THEM.
v25 ISRAEL IS BROUGHT INTO THE PROMISELAND, CHRIST'S PRESENCE. YESHUA is prince forever.
v26 EVERLASTING COVENANT; SANCTUARY IN THEIR MIDST FOREVERMORE.
V27 YHWH's DWELLING PLACE WILL BE WITH THEM. THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
V28 ISRAEL IS SANCTIFIED AND YHWH'S sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.
ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED.

ROMANS 11
I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 GOD HAS NOT REJECTED HIS PEOPLE WHOM HE FOREKNEW. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” 4 But what is God's reply to him? “I HAVE KEPT FOR MYSELF SEVEN THOUSAND MEN WHO HAVE NOT BOWED THE KNEE TO BAAL.” 5 SO TOO AT THE PRESENT TIME THERE IS A REMNANT, CHOSEN BY GRACE. 6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
7 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. THE ELECT OBTAINED IT, BUT THE REST WERE HARDENED, 8 as it is written,
“God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear,down to this very day.”
9 And David says,“Let their table become a snare and a trap,a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
10 let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and bend their backs forever.” 11 So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, THROUGH THEIR TRESPASS SALVATION HAS COME TO THE GENTILES,so as to make Israel jealous. 12 Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means RICHES FOR THE GENTILES, how much more will their full inclusion mean!
13 NOW I AM SPEAKING TO YOU GENTILES. INASMUCH THEN AS I AM AN APOSTLE TO THE GENTILES,I magnify my ministry 14 in order somehow to MAKE MY FELLOW JEWS JEALOUS, and THUS SAVE SOME OF THEM. 15 For if THEIR REJECTION MEANS THE RECONCILIATION OF THE WORLD,what will THEIR ACCEPTANCE MEAN BUT LIFE FROM THE DEAD? 16 If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.
25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: A PARTIAL HARDENING HAS COME UPON ISRAEL, UNTIL THE FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES HAS COME IN. 26 AND IN THIS WAY ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED, as it is written,
“THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION,
HE WILL BANISH UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB”;
27 “and this will be my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”
28 As regards the gospel, THEY ARE ENEMIES for your sake. But as REGARDS ELECTION, THEY ARE BELOVEDfor the sake of their forefathers. 29 ForTHE GIFTS AND THE CALLING OF GOD ARE IRREVOCABLE.
30 For just as YOU WERE AT ONE TIME DISOBEDIENT TO GODbut NOW HAVE RECEIVED MERCY BECAUSE OF THEIR DISOBEDIENCE, 31 so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. 32 For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?”
35 “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?”
36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
**v2 GOD accepts His People whom He FOREKNEW.
**V4-5 THE PRESENT TIME was 1stcentury around 57-58AD when Romans was written and Paul pens that THERE IS A REMNANT CHOSEN BY GRACE.
**v7 THE ELECT obtained RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH. Non-Elect were HARDENED.
**V11 JUDAH TRESPASSES and SALVATION HAS COME TO THE GENTILES, the northern Kingdom, Israel. FULLNESS of the GENTILES coming in are those who were SCATTERED in the nations being brought back into the Kingdom via the Gospel by 70AD.
**v12 “Their” refers to the southern kingdom, Judah’s trespass which means RICHES for the gentiles in the Northern Kingdom, Israel. Riches for the “world” is the covenant world.
**v13-14 Paul is specifically speaking to GENTILES. He is trying save some Jews by making them jealous of Gentile Israelites coming into the Kingdom.
**v15 reconciliation of the covenant world
**V25 A Partial Hardening came over Israel, UNTIL the FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES came in. Some Jews were hardened. 2 Cor 3:14 “But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away.”
**v26 ALL ISRAEL WAS SAVED. Christ, The Deliverer came out of ZION in 70AD within that 1stcentury generation as He said He would. The covenant world is banished of ungodliness from Jacob.
**v28 Elect Gentile or Remnant Israelites are BELOVED.
**v29 Gifts and Calling are irrevocable.
Romans 9:4 They are Israelites, and to them belong THE ADOPTION, THE GLORY, THE COVENANTS, THE GIVING OF THE LAW, THE WORSHIP, AND THE PROMISES. 5 To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.
Romans 8:28-30 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he FOREKNEW he also PREDESTINED to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also CALLED, and those whom he called he also JUSTIFIED, and those whom he justified he also GLORIFIED.
**v30 The Northern Kingdom, Israel was at one time disobedient to YHWH but NOW have received MERCY.
The phrase “NOT MY PEOPLE” is used 5x in Scripture.

Hosea 1:9 Then God said: “Call his name Lo-Ammi, For you are NOT MY PEOPLE, And I will NOT BE YOUR GOD. 10“YET THE NUMBER OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SHALL BE AS THE SAND OF THE SEA, Which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are NOT MY PEOPLE,’ There it shall be said to them, ‘YOU ARE SONS OF THE LIVING GOD.’ 11THEN THE CHILDREN OF JUDAH AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SHALL BE GATHERED TOGETHER,
And appoint for themselves one head; And they shall come up out of the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel!
**If a group of people were once called by YHWH, “MY PEOPLE” and who said “I will be your God,” then called those same people, “NOT MY PEOPLE” and “I WILL NOT BE YOUR GOD” by YHWH, what does that mean?
It could mean that because of transgressing YHWH’s LAW and playing the Harlot with other gods, Israel (the Northern Kingdom) was cut off as a covenant people and no longer had YHWH as their God. They were like GENTILE country.
Hosea 1:10 prophesies YHWH bringing back into covenant people status, the group of people that was CUT OFF and called NOT MY PEOPLE. They are brought back into fellowship with the living God and given the title: “YOU ARE SONS OF THE LIVING GOD!”
**v11 Notice how YHWH’S WORD prophesies that the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be GATEHRED TOGETHER. Since Romans was written at the end of the old covenant age around 57-58 AD and states that those things which God prophesied in Hosea were happening in the 1stcentury, then the SONS OF GOD or CHILDREN OF GOD were present in the first century. The fulfillment of THE REVEALING OF THE SONS OF GOD by 70AD. Romans 8:12-25

**NOTICE HOW ROMANS 9:26 DEFINES WHO “NOT MY PEOPLE” ARE. THEY ARE THOSE WHO WERE CALLED “NOT MY PEOPLE” IN WHICH THE SAME PLACE, THEY WILL BE CALLED “MY PEOPLE.””
ROMANS 9 27 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: “THOUGH THE NUMBER OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL BE AS THE SAND OF THE SEA,THE REMNANT WILL BE SAVED. 28 For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, Because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth.”
**NOTICE how Romans 9:27 parallels Hosea 1:10 speaking of the children of Israel.
Notice how Paul speaks of the remnant of the children of Israel would be saved.
The following passages are on the phrase CHILDREN of GOD and SONS of GOD.
Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called SONS OF GOD.
nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are SONS OF GOD, being sons of the resurrection.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become CHILDREN OF GOD, to those who believe in His name:
and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the CHILDREN OF GOD who were scattered abroad.

[ The Imperative of Love ] In this the CHILDREN OF GOD and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.
By this we know that we love the CHILDREN OF GOD, when we love God and keep His commandments.

You cannot be a Christian Jedi unless you are grounded in the entire Scripture, especially The First Covenant. I don't want to come across like I'm all that because I still have much much more to learn and study. We live in a Christian culture that is so weak in the study of The Word.
Here's an example why we must be grounded in the OT. Ever wonder where this "fishers of men" comes from? Modern Christianity is so SELF-centered. It's all about US evangelizing and bringing people to Christ but is that what these passages are about? Most Christians read themselves into the text and think the bible is all about them. smh. How arrogant! Read the context and where Christ is pulling this from the OT.
Matthew 4:17-1917 From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
18 Now as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 And He *said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Mark 1:15-1715 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
16 As He was going along by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. 17 And Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
**The Old Testament tells us that YHWH would send many fishermen to bring in the elect of Israel who were scattered in The North via The Gospel. These are the ex-Israelites or gentile Jews from the 10 Northern tribes who inter-married with the pagans aka The Disapora who were being brought in to The Kingdom via The Apostles and Disciples of Christ in the 1st century preaching The Gospel.
Jeremiah 1614 “Therefore behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up THE SONS OF ISRAEL out of the land of Egypt,’ 15 but, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up THE SONS OF ISRAEL FROM THE LAND OF THE NORTH AND FROM ALL THE COUNTRIES where He had banished them.’ FOR I WILL RESTORE THEMto their own land which I gave to their fathers.
16 “BEHOLD, I AM GOING TO SEND FOR MANY FISHERMEN,” declares the Lord, “and THEY WILL FISH FOR THEM; and afterwards I WILL SEND FOR MANY HUNTERS, and they will HUNT THEM from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks. 17 For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. 18 I will first doubly repay their iniquity and their sin, because they have polluted My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable idols and with their abominations.”
**The Gospel WAS a double-edge sword in that YHWH raised up hunters, His Roman Armies to bring Judgment on covenant breaking Jews. FYI, there is NO future judgment to us in 2018. The Judgment was for the first covenant people of YHWH which took place in 70AD.
V18 mentions carcasses which would come from when unbelieving Israel would be judged by YHWH's hunters, the Roman Armies.
Matthew 24:28 For wherever the carcass is, there is where the vultures gather together.

It's cool when the OT interprets what's happening in the NT. Most Christians don't realize this because they don't study the OT. ;-(
Modern Christians don't realize that The Harvest was taking place in that 1st century generation. Even Christ said so
John 4:35Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
**This is the Samaritan/ gentile Jews being brought back into the kingdom.
Matthew 9:37-3837 Then He *said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
**The ELECT are those ELECT JEWS of the first covenant being FISHED OUT and HARVESTED out from the Old Covenant of Death/Adam.
** Found another passage that connects the fishermen's job ending at the old covenant end of the age which limits the fishermen to being the 1st century Apostles and Disciples of Christ.
Matthew 13:47-50 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind; 48 and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away. 49 So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, 50 and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Found yet another passage:
LUKE 5Now it happened that while the crowd was pressing around Him and listening to the word of God, He was standing by the lake of Gennesaret; 2 and He saw two boats lying at the edge of the lake; but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets. 3 And He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the land. And He sat down and began teaching the people from the boat. 4 When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” 6 When they had done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to break; 7 so they signaled to their partners in the other boat for them to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 BUT WHEN SIMON PETER SAW THAT, HE FELL DOWN AT JESUS’ FEET, SAYING, “GO AWAY FROM ME LORD, FOR I AM A SINFUL MAN!” 9 FOR AMAZEMENT HAD SEIZED HIM and all his companions BECAUSE OF THE CATCH OF FISH WHICH THEY HAD TAKEN; 10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. AND JESUS SAID TO SIMON, “DO NOT FEAR, FROM NOW ON YOU WILL BE CATCHING MEN.” 11 When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.

FISHING, NETS, HOOKS, FISHERMEN, THE GOSPEL have much to do with JUDGMENT of the Good and Evil upon the last generaton of The Old Covenant. The Fishermen were YHWH’s messengers, Apostles, Disciples called by Yeshua and sent to bring in the elect remnant of Israel in last days of The Old Covenant.
Below are several passages in which fishing is likened to judgment.
Ecclesiastes 9:12For man does not know his time. LIKE FISH THAT ARE TAKEN IN AN EVIL NET, and like birds that are caught in a snare, SO THE CHILDREN OF MAN ARE SNARED AT AN EVIL TIME, WHEN IT SUDDENLY FALLS UPON THEM.

Isaiah 19:8THE FISHERMEN WILL MOURN AND LAMENT, ALL WHO CAST A HOOK IN THE NILE; and they will languish who spread nets on the water.
Isaiah 51:20Your sons have fainted; they lie at the head of every street LIKE AN ANTELOPE IN A NET; they are full of the wrath of the Lord, the rebuke of your God.
Jeremiah 16:14-18The Lord Will Restore Israel
14 “Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when it shall no longer be said, ‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’ 15 but ‘AS THE LORD LIVES WHO BROUGHT UP THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL OUT OF THE NORTH COUNTRY AND OUT OF ALL THE COUNTRIES WHERE HE HAD DRIVEN THEM.’ FOR I WILL BRING THEM BACK TO THEIR OWN LAND THAT I GAVE TO THEIR FATHERS.

***YHWH will call His Fishermen to fish for the elect remnant out of the Northern Kingdom regions. This happened when Christ came and commissioned His Apostles & Disciples.
Ezekiel 12:13AND I WILL SPREAD MY NET OVER HIM, AND HE SHALL BE TAKEN IN MY SNARE. And I will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, yet he shall not see it, and he shall die there.
