I'm sure it's a goal of most Christians to read through all of God's Word.  

In fact, it was His Word that The Holy Spirit quickened in your heart that made you His.  

It is The Word that nourishes, strengthens, heals, restores, guides, protects, builds, comforts, sustains, trains, enlightens, empowers, converts, frees, renews...

It is God's Word, The Holy Bible that is The Only means by which one will intimately know God and His Will.  

The Word of God is the final and only authority on spiritual Truth for follower of Christ.

I want to encourage those who love The Lord Yeshua to know Him even more by reading through the entire Bible.  I know it may seem like an enormous task but simply pray for a passion and love to know YHWH through His Word.  Scripture can be listened to when commuting, doing chores, hiking...

I hope these tips help.


TIPS

1) Get a pocket Bible if you have good eyes.

2) Get the Bible on audio.  There are a lot free audio bibles online.  Faith comes by hearing.

Romans 10:17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

The Bible was written during a time when the average person did not have a Bible of their own.  Scripture was read out loud in community, i.e., temple, synagogue.

1 Timothy 4:13  Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.

Do listen to a chapter or book over and over until you get understanding, satisfaction, and/ or joy.


3) As you listen and read, highlight the Bible.

This is my color coding:

Green = God's Grace, Sovereignty
Blue = Discipleship, wisdom
Red = Sin, evil
Orange = repeated phrases, prophecy
Yellow = History
Purple = Israel, Jewish, Judaism typology

* by having something to look for, one will be able to keep their eyes looking for the treasure.


4) Take notes and compile verses in the back blank index of your Bible or in the margin.

5) Pray for a strong love and desire to read and to know The Lord through His Word.

To grow strong in The Word and in knowing YHWH, one must consume large quantities of Scripture.  One must constantly flood his or her mind with God's precious Word.
