DRINK COFFEE w BUTTER and LOSE WEIGHT!!!

COFFEE IS OPTIONAL
since it’s a plant on carnivore

8 am I drink organic coffee 1-3 cups blended with a stick of grass fed cow butter (KerryGold, Kirkland), or heavy cream.  Newbies can start with a 1/8 of a stick of butter.   I use an entire 4 oz stick for my coffee. I also use collagen and gelatin from bone broth or powder.  Blend hfor 15 seconds, then enjoy!  Feel your brain light up with clarity!

Great video on a dude who transformed his life by drinking butter coffee or bullet proof coffee!

The butter coffee philosophy centers on the belief that adding healthy fats, such as grass-fed butter and MCT oil, to coffee can lead to sustained energy, mental clarity, and satiety. Popularized by the Bulletproof Diet, it's often seen as a replacement for breakfast for those on low-carb, keto, or intermittent fasting plans. The fats slow caffeine absorption, providing a longer-lasting energy boost without the jitters and crash often associated with regular coffee.

Core principles

  • Sustained energy: The high fat content slows the absorption of caffeine, leading to a more gradual and longer-lasting energy release, unlike the quick rush and subsequent crash from sugar.

  • Mental clarity and focus: Supporters claim that the combination of caffeine and fats, particularly MCTs, can improve cognitive function, memory, and focus.

  • Increased satiety: The fats make the drink very filling, which can help manage appetite for hours, making it a popular option for those practicing intermittent fasting or looking to reduce their food intake in the morning.

  • Keto and low-carb support: Butter coffee is a key beverage for individuals following a ketogenic diet because it is low in carbohydrates and high in fat, helping them stay in ketosis.

  • Replaces traditional breakfast: The high calorie count from the fats means it can serve as a meal replacement, especially for those who prefer not to eat breakfast or want a quick, high-energy start to the day.

Key ingredients and variations

  • Coffee: Typically brewed black coffee.
  • Butter: Unsalted, grass-fed butter is preferred for its beneficial fats, such as omega-3s.
  • MCT oil: Medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is often added because MCTs are readily converted into energy by the body.
  • Other additions: Some variations may add cinnamon or other spices for flavor.

Points of debate

  • Nutritional concerns: Critics, including dietitians, point out that butter coffee can be very high in saturated fat and cholesterol and that scientific evidence for all the claimed benefits is still mixed or limited.

  • Weight loss claims: While it may help with short-term weight loss by increasing satiety and replacing high-calorie breakfasts, there is no evidence that adding butter coffee to your diet without other dietary changes will cause long-term weight loss.
