In The Old Testament, YHWH’s People ISRAEL were known as THE CONGREGATION/ ASSEMBLY.

In The New Testament, YHWH’s People are known as THE EKKLESIA – THE CONGREGATION  {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} 

QUESTIONS: 

Does The New Testament still identify Israel as God’s People and CONGREGATION?

What are they being “called out from?” An Evil World system? Old Covenant Law? Nations?  

Do Bible students know that Israel was cut off from YHWH, divorced from Him and scattered into the gentile nations because of their sin of adultery aka idolatry? 

Do Bible students know that Israel was prophesied to be worshipping idols in their latter days (30-70AD)? 

 

1. Genesis 28:3 And may God Almighty bless thee and make thee fruitful and multiply thee that thou may be a CONGREGATION of peoples

 

2. Exodus 12:3 Speak unto ALL THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL, saying, In the tenth day of this month let each man take a lamb according to the families of the fathers, a lamb per family;

 

3. Exodus 12:6 and ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month, and the whole ASSEMBLY OF THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL shall kill it between the two evenings.

 

4. Exodus 12:19  For seven days there shall be no leaven found in your houses; for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL, whether he is a stranger or born in the land.

 

5. Exodus 12:47  ALL THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL shall make this sacrifice.

 

6. Exodus 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.

 

7. Exodus 16:2 And the whole CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness;

 

8. Exodus 16:9 And Moses spoke unto Aaron, Say unto ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL, Come near before the LORD, for he has heard your murmurings.

 

9. Exodus 16:10 And it came to pass as Aaron spoke unto the whole CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.

 

10. Exodus 16:22  And it came to pass that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one; and all the princes of THE CONGREGATION came and told Moses.

 

11. Exodus 17:1  And ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and set up camp in Rephidim; and there was no water for the people to drink.

 

12. Exodus 34:31 And Moses called them, and Aaron and all the princes of THE CONGREGATION returned unto him, and Moses talked with them.

 

13. Exodus 35:1  And Moses gathered ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL together and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD has commanded that yeshould do them.

 

14. Exodus 35:4  And Moses spoke unto ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL, saying, This is what the LORD commanded, saying,

 

15. Exodus 35:20 And ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL departed from the presence of Moses.

 

16. Exodus 38:25 And the silver of those that were numbered of THE CONGREGATION was one hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary:

 

17. Exodus 40:7 And thou shalt set the laver between the tabernacle of THE CONGREGATION and the altar and shalt put water therein.

 

18. Leviticus 4:13 And if the whole CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL sins through ignorance and the thing was hid from the eyes of the ASSEMBLY and they have done something against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done and are guilty,

 

19. Leviticus 4:14  when the sin, which they have committed, is understood, then THE CONGREGATION shall offer a young bullock as the sin and bring it before the tabernacle of the testimony.

 

20. Leviticus 4:15  And the elders of THE CONGREGATION shall lay their hands upon the head of the bullock before the LORD, and the bullock shall be killed before the LORD.

 

21. Leviticus 4:21 And he shall carry forth the bullock outside the camp and burn it as he burned the first bullock; it is the sin of THE CONGREGATION.

 

22. Leviticus 8:3  and gather ALL THE CONGREGATION together at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

 

23. Leviticus 8:4 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and THE CONGREGATION was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

 

24. Leviticus 8:5 And Moses said unto THE CONGREGATION, This is what the LORD has commanded to be done.

 

25. Leviticus 9:5 And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the testimony, and ALL THE CONGREGATION drew near and stood before the LORD.

 

26. Leviticus 10:6 Then Moses said unto Aaron and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Do not uncover your heads, neither rend your clothes lest ye die and lest wrath come upon the whole CONGREGATION; but your brethren, the whole house of Israel, shall lament the burning which the LORD has done.

 

27. Leviticus 10:17 Why have ye not eaten of the atonement for sin in the holy place? For it is most holy, and God has given it to you to bear the iniquity of THE CONGREGATION, that they may be reconciled before the LORD.

 

28. Leviticus 16:5 And he shall take of THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL two he goats as the sin and one ram as a burnt offering.

 

29. Leviticus 16:17 And no man shall be in the tabernacle of the testimony when he enters in to make reconciliation in the sanctuary until he comes out and has made reconciliation for himself and for his household and for ALL THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL.

 

30. Leviticus 16:33 and he shall reconcile the holy sanctuary and reconcile the tabernacle of the testimony; he shall also reconcile the altar and the priests and all the people of THE CONGREGATION.

 

31. Leviticus 19:2 Speak unto ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL and say unto them, Ye shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

 

32. Leviticus 24:14 Bring forth the one that has blasphemed outside the camp and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let ALL THE CONGREGATION stone him.

 

33. Leviticus 24:16 And he that pronounces the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death; ALL THE CONGREGATION shall certainly stone him; the same with the stranger as with the natural, if he pronounces the Name, he shall be put to death.

 

34. Numbers 1:2 Take the sum of ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL by their families, by the houses of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls,

 

35. Numbers 1:16 these were the renowned of THE CONGREGATION, princes of the tribes of their fathers, captains of the thousands of Israel.

 

36. Numbers 1:18 and they ASSEMBLED ALL THE CONGREGATION together on the first of the second month, and they were gathered by their lineages, by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls,

 

37. Numbers 1:53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of the testimony that there be no wrath upon THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.

 

38. Numbers 3:7 And they shall keep his commandment and the commandment of the whole CONGREGATION before the tabernacle of the testimony, to minister in the service of the tabernacle.

 

39. Numbers 4:34 So Moses and Aaron and the princes of THE CONGREGATION numbered the sons of Kohath after their families and after the houses of their fathers,

 

40. Numbers 8:9  And thou shalt offer the Levites before the tabernacle of the testimony, and thou shalt gather the whole CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL together;

 

41. Numbers 8:20 And Moses and Aaron and ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the sons of Israel unto them.

 

42. Numbers 10:2 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them that thou may use them for the convocation of THE CONGREGATION and for the moving of the camp.

 

43. Numbers 10:3 And when they shall blow them, ALL THE CONGREGATION shall join themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

 

44. Numbers 10:7 But when THE CONGREGATION is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

 

45. Numbers 13:26  And they went and came to Moses and to Aaron and to ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL, unto the wilderness of Paran to Kadesh and brought back word unto them and unto ALL THE CONGREGATION and showed them the fruit of the land.

 

46. Numbers 14:1 Then ALL THE CONGREGATION lifted up their voice and cried, and the people wept that night.

 

47. Numbers 14:2 And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, and the whole CONGREGATION said unto them, Oh, that we might die in the land of Egypt or that we might die in this wilderness!

 

48. Numbers 14:5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the ASSEMBLY OF THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL.

 

49. Numbers 14:27 How long shall I hear this evil CONGREGATION, which murmurs against me, the complaints of the sons of Israel, which they murmur against me?

 

50. Numbers 14:35 I, the LORD, have spoken, I will surely do it unto all this evil CONGREGATION that are gathered together against me; in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

 

51. Numbers 14:36 And the men, whom Moses had sent to spy out the land, who returned and made ALL THE CONGREGATION to murmur against him by bringing up a slander upon the land,

 

52. Numbers 15:15 One statute shall be both for you of THE CONGREGATION and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, a perpetual statute, for your ages; as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

 

53. Numbers 15:24 then it shall be, if the sin was committed by ignorance without the knowledge of THE CONGREGATION, that ALL THE CONGREGATION shall offer one young bullock as a burnt offering, for an acceptable savour unto the LORD with its present and its drink offering, according to the law, and one he goat as the sin.

 

54. Numbers 15:25 And the priest shall reconcile ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL, and it shall be forgiven them, for it is ignorance; and they shall bring their offering, an offering on fire unto the LORD and their sins before the LORD which they committed in their ignorance.

 

55. Numbers 15:26  And it shall be forgiven ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL and the stranger that sojourns among them, seeing all the people were in ignorance.

 

56. Numbers 15:33 And those that found him gathering firewood brought him unto Moses and Aaron and unto ALL THE CONGREGATION.

 

57. Numbers 15:35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death; ALL THE CONGREGATION shall stone him with stones outside the camp.

 

58. Numbers 15:36  Then ALL THE CONGREGATION brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died, as the LORD commanded Moses.

 

59. Numbers 16:2 and they rose up against Moses, with two hundred and fifty men of the sons of Israel, princes of THE CONGREGATION, of the council, men of renown;

 

60. Numbers 16:3 and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron and said unto them, We have had enough of you, seeing ALL THE CONGREGATION are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them; why then lift ye up yourselves above THE CONGREGATION of the LORD?

 

61. Numbers 16:9 Does it seem but a small thing unto you that the God of Israel has separated you from THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL, to bring you near to himself to minister in the service of the tabernacle of the LORD and to stand before THE CONGREGATION to minister unto them?

 

62. Numbers 16:19 And Korah had gathered ALL THE CONGREGATION against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony; then the glory of the LORD appeared unto ALL THE CONGREGATION.

 

63. Numbers 16:21 Separate yourselves from among this CONGREGATION, and I will consume them in a moment.

 

64. Numbers 16:22 And they fell upon their faces and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin and wilt thou be wroth with ALL THE CONGREGATION?

 

65. Numbers 16:24 Speak unto THE CONGREGATION, saying, Separate yourselves now from the tent of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

 

66. Numbers 16:26 And he spoke unto THE CONGREGATION, saying, Depart from the tents of these wicked men and touch nothing of theirs lest peradventure ye be consumed in all their sins.

 

67. Numbers 16:33 They and all that they had went down alive into Sheol, and the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among THE CONGREGATION.

 

68. Numbers 16:41 But on the next day ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

 

69. Numbers 16:42 And it came to pass when THE CONGREGATION was gathered against Moses and against Aaron that they looked toward the tabernacle of the testimony; and, behold, the cloud had covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

 

70. Numbers 16:45 Depart from among this CONGREGATION, and I will consume them in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

 

71. Numbers 16:46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take the censer and put fire in it from off the altar and put incense upon it and go quickly unto THE CONGREGATION and reconcile them; for the wrath has gone out from before the face of the LORD; the plague is begun.

 

72. Numbers 16:47 Then Aaron took his censer as Moses said and ran into the midst of THE CONGREGATION; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people; and he put on incense and reconciled the people.

 

73. Numbers 19:9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and lay them up outside the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL for the water of separation; it is sin.

 

74. Numbers 19:20 But the man that shall be unclean and shall not cause the sin to be removed from himself, that person shall be cut off from among THE CONGREGATION because he has defiled the tabernacle of the LORD; the water of separation has not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.

 

75. Numbers 20:1 Then came the sons of Israel, even the whole CONGREGATION, into the desert of Zin in the first month; and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there and was buried there.

 

76. Numbers 20:2 And there was no water for THE CONGREGATION; and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.

 

77. Numbers 20:4 And why have ye caused THE CONGREGATION of the LORD to come into this wilderness that we and our beasts should die here?

 

78. Numbers 20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of THE CONGREGATION unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and they fell upon their faces; and the glory of the LORD appeared upon them.

 

79. Numbers 20:8 Take the rod and gather THE CONGREGATION together, thou and Aaron, thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes, and it shall give forth its water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock; so thou shalt give THE CONGREGATION and their beasts drink.

 

80. Numbers 20:10 And Moses and Aaron gathered THE CONGREGATION together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

 

81. Numbers 20:11 Then Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice; and the water came out abundantly, and THE CONGREGATION drank, and their beasts also.

 

82. Numbers 20:12 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore, ye shall not bring this CONGREGATION into the land which I have given them.

 

83. Numbers 20:22 And the sons of Israel, even the whole CONGREGATION, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto Mount Hor.

 

84. Numbers 20:27 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and they went up into Mount Hor in the sight of ALL THE CONGREGATION.

 

85. Numbers 20:29 And when ALL THE CONGREGATION saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the families of Israel.

 

86. Numbers 25:6 Then, behold, one of the sons of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of ALL THE CONGREGATION of the sons of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

 

87. Numbers 25:7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among THE CONGREGATION and took a javelin in his hand;

 

88. Numbers 26:2 Take the sum of ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL, from twenty years old and upward, by the houses of their fathers, all that are able to go to war in Israel.

 

89. Numbers 26:9 And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, who were famous in THE CONGREGATION, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD.

 

90. Numbers 27:2 And they stood before Moses and before Eleazar, the priest, and before the princes and ALL THE CONGREGATION, by the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, saying,

 

91. Numbers 27:14 For ye were rebels to my word in the desert of Zin, in the strife of THE CONGREGATION, to sanctify me in the waters before their eyes. These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

 

92. Numbers 27:16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over THE CONGREGATION,

 

93. Numbers 27:17 who may go out before them, and who may go in before them, and who may lead them out and who may bring them in that THE CONGREGATION of the LORD not be as sheep without a shepherd.

 

94. Numbers 27:19 and set him before Eleazar, the priest, and before ALL THE CONGREGATION and give him a charge in their presence.

 

95. Numbers 27:20 And thou shalt put some of thy splendour upon him that ALL THE CONGREGATION of the sons of Israel may hear him.

 

96. Numbers 27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar, the priest, whom he shall consult in the judgment of the Urim before the LORD; at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the sons of Israel with him, even ALL THE CONGREGATION.

 

97. Numbers 27:22 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar, the priest, and before ALL THE CONGREGATION,

 

98. Numbers 31:12 And they brought the captives and the prey and the spoil unto Moses and Eleazar, the priest, and unto THE CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL, unto the camp in the plains of Moab, which was by Jordan of Jericho.

 

99. Numbers 31:13 And Moses and Eleazar, the priest, and all the princes of THE CONGREGATION went forth to meet them outside the camp.

 

100. Numbers 31:16  Behold, these caused the sons of Israel through the counsel of Balaam to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor for which there was a plague among THE CONGREGATION of the LORD.

 

101. Numbers 31:26 Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou and Eleazar, the priest, and the heads of the fathers of THE CONGREGATION,

 

102. Numbers 31:27 and divide the prey into two parts between those that took the part in the war, who went out to battle, and ALL THE CONGREGATION.

 

103. Numbers 31:43 (now the half that pertained unto THE CONGREGATION was three hundred and thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep

 

104. Numbers 32:2 And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben came and spoke unto Moses and to Eleazar, the priest, and unto the princes of THE CONGREGATION, saying,

 

105. Numbers 32:4 the country which the LORD smote before THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL, is a land for livestock, and thy slaves have livestock.

 

106. Numbers 35:12 And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger {Heb. redeemer} that the manslayer not die until he stands before THE CONGREGATION in judgment.

 

107. Numbers 35:24 then THE CONGREGATION shall judge between the slayer and the kinsman avenger {Heb. redeemer} of blood according to these laws.

 

108. Numbers 35:25 And THE CONGREGATION shall deliver the manslayer out of the hand of the kinsman avenger {Heb. redeemer} of blood, and THE CONGREGATION shall restore him to the city of his refuge, where he has fled, and he shall abide in it unto the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.

 

109. Deuteronomy 5:22 These words the LORD spoke unto all your CONGREGATION in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice, and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone and delivered them unto me.

 

110. Deuteronomy 23:1 He that is wounded in the stones or is castrated shall not enter into THE CONGREGATION of the LORD.

 

111. Deuteronomy 23:2 A bastard shall not enter into THE CONGREGATION of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into THE CONGREGATION of the LORD.

 

112. Deuteronomy 23:3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into THE CONGREGATION of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into THE CONGREGATION of the LORD forever,

 

113. Deuteronomy 23:8 The sons that are begotten of them shall enter into THE CONGREGATION of the LORD in their third generation.

 

114. Deuteronomy 31:30 Then Moses spoke in the ears of ALL THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL the words of this song until they were ended.

 

115. Deuteronomy 33:4 Moses commanded us law as inheritance unto THE CONGREGATION of Jacob.

 

116. Joshua 6:9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the shofarot, and THE CONGREGATION came after the ark, the priests going on and blowing with the shofarot.

 

117. Joshua 6:13 And the seven priests bearing the seven shofarot of jubilee before the ark of the LORD walked continually, and blew with the shofarot; and the armed men went before them; but THE CONGREGATION came after the ark of the LORD, the priestsgoing on and blowing with the shofarot.

 

118. Joshua 8:35 There was not a word of all the things that Moses commanded which Joshua did not read before ALL THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL with the women and the little ones and the strangers that walked among them.

 

119. Joshua 9:15 And Joshua made peace with them and made a covenant with them, to let them live; also the princes of THE CONGREGATION swore unto them.

 

120. Joshua 9:18 And the sons of Israel did not smite them because the princes of THE CONGREGATION had sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel. And ALL THE CONGREGATION murmured against the princes.

 

121. Joshua 9:19 But all the princes said unto ALL THE CONGREGATION, We have sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel; therefore, now we may not touch them.

 

122. Joshua 9:21 And the princes said unto them, Let them live but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto ALL THE CONGREGATION, as the princes had said unto them.

 

123. Joshua 9:27 And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for THE CONGREGATION and for the altar of the LORD, in the place which he should choose; which they are even unto this day.

 

124. Joshua 18:1 And the whole CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL ASSEMBLED together at Shiloh and set up the tabernacle of the testimony there after the land was subdued before them.

 

125. Joshua 20:6 And he shall dwell in that city until he stands before THE CONGREGATION for judgment and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days; then shall the manslayer return, and come unto his own city and unto his own house unto the city from where he fled.

 

126. Joshua 20:9 These were the cities appointed for all the sons of Israel and for the stranger that sojourns among them that anyone who kills any person by error might flee there and not die by the hand of the avenger {Heb. redeemer} of blood until he stands before THE CONGREGATION.

 

127. Joshua 22:12 And when the sons of Israel heard of it, the whole CONGREGATION OF THE SONS OF ISRAELgathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them.

 

128. Joshua 22:16 Thus saith the whole CONGREGATION of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the LORD in that ye have built an altar, that ye might rebel this day against the LORD?

 

129. Joshua 22:17 Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, for which there was a plague in THE CONGREGATION of the LORD?

 

130. Joshua 22:18 And ye turn away this day from following the LORD; and it will be, seeing ye rebel today against the LORD, that tomorrow he will be angry with the whole CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL.

 

131. Joshua 22:20 Peradventure did Achan, the son of Zerah, not commit a trespass in the anathema, and wrath fell on ALL THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL? And that man did not perish alone in his iniquity.

 

132. Joshua 22:30 And when Phinehas the priest and the princes of THE CONGREGATION and heads of the thousands of Israel who were with him, heard the words that the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the sons of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them.
